My cat is the startled kind. She wants to go outside, she lets me put the leash on her, we are fine until another person comes into view or something startles her, then she would rather run back inside WITHOUT me. So I can’t take her to new places, only walks around the house so she knows how to get home. Then I’ll just meet up with her again at the front door.
I have a new kitten, I hope to get her used to new things soon, but who knows if she will be more brave or scared than my first girl. So far, she seems outgoing.

@danieligomes1343My cat runs away on cutting fruit, even banana or watermelon. The tiny amount of acid in fruit turns him off. He doesn’t really like it.
But he can take a corn or bread crumbs ❤
I’m glad you mentioned personality because not all cats are the same.
My tabby is a self confident and he feels safe inside.
But I can’t just take him out in a harness, we have moved to the city. And he will panic over the high sounds and many people. We live in the 6th floor. He only get out in his cage, and only if we must. Like a vet trip. He doesn’t mind the vet tho. Get some good treats there lol

@UnnamedTrashPandaI'm glad I saw this. I have two cats that are indoor. Sometimes I can feel guilt about them be indoors rather than having a fuller cat experience outside. But then I think of the things that an outside experience where I live would include; coyotes, cars, territorial stray cats in the neighborhood. So indoors they stay. They have to smell everything I bring into the house! If I buy new plants for the yard I bring them in first so the cats can smell them. They have numerous cat trees, a bird feeder and two catios (which I bring outdoor clippings to) so they do get outside fresh air when they choose. But I've never tried training them to offer me a paw! Your cats are lovely.

@IrenaIrena-u2vI actually have an agreement with my cat: she can jump or sit on chairs, sofas, bed. Kitchen counter and table is a no-go.
