Respectfully, I think some of this perspective is influenced by what people often call “pretty privilege.” That is not to diminish your point you absolutely do not need to be conventionally attractive to build friendships, maintain a social life, or date successfully. However, it would be disingenuous to pretend those things do not come more naturally to people who are perceived as highly attractive.

And before anyone dismisses this as “incel bait,” that is not the point I am making at all. I am an outgoing person with a healthy social life and solid friendships, but building that life took significant effort after moving to a major city in my early thirties.

Much of what she says is true. At the end of the day, the biggest factor is consistent exposure and effort. You cannot stay isolated in your apartment and expect meaningful relationships to appear on their own. You have to put yourself in situations where connection is possible.

That said, for some people, the process requires substantially more intentional effort than others. Speaking from personal experience as a man who is not conventionally attractive, but who is confident in himself and established professionally, making friends was still difficult. It required pushing well beyond my introverted tendencies and repeatedly putting myself in uncomfortable social situations until those connections eventually formed.
