How To Do A Liverpool/Scouse Accent In UNDER TWO MINUTES
Video Overview & Insights
Learn the Liverpool accent with Matt Pocock, the 3,000-lesson voice coach. The Liverpool accent is all about the L and the R. If you can master those, then the rest of the Liverpool accent follows.
Esdeekid
With the R's, they tend to go non-rhotic in the Liverpool accent. That means you say them every time a vowel follows them. But the Liverpool accent also taps their R's, making them harder to nail for beginners. Best of luck!

I grew up in Liverpool and have always been fascinated by the different accents across the city. This attempt feels like a bit of an amalgamation...it slips into Mancunian at times and otherwise sounds more like the broader Scouse you heard in the 1950s and 60s. Scouse has evolved enormously over the years, shaped by Liverpool's history as a major port and influences from Irish, Welsh, Scottish and Lancashire speech. It's also far from a single accent; someone from South Liverpool can sound quite different from someone from North Liverpool, Bootle, Kirkby or Huyton. It's an interesting attempt, but to my ear it doesn't quite capture the distinctive sound of modern Scouse.
