I've gained weight because of a health issue, and my system got sort of wrecked by that. So building a new system without the essentials I had have been sort of confusing, but packing things away for later, and realizing that a lot still fits and not loose hope and get uninspired, but build the confident pieces on the new situation. Thanks for a good reminder. Style over trends is also my philosopy, and that repitition works. If you really really love a shirt, why not get it in different colors right away.

The outfit in this video is so equestrian chic, I need more turtlenecks I love how they look. Also my style is so… rough. I have many dark academia/witchy pieces but I’m starting to really like 90s minimalism. I want to combine the styles somehow. I prefer to look simple but expensive, despite thrifting everything I own. Honestly, I also needed to hear the “fit > brand” advice because I pick for brands at the resale shops instead of trying things on that look nice but may have a low tier or unknown brand.

@jowusuboadiWhat a great video. I like your style and I think because we like similar clothing. My Mom advised me that classic style pieces in neutral colors should be the foundation of my wardrobe. Adding your accessories goves your outfit your personal style. Then if you like the color of the year add a sweater, button down, shoes or scarf. I switch out my closet between fall/winter and spring/summer. My husband gives me a hard time that I have too many clothes. This is coming from a man that wears a t-shirt and jeans everyday. 😊 i use to work in an office and have wool, leather, suede, linen, and knit blazers that I can pair with my jeans or the few dress pants. I will admit Im a coat/hacket junkie. But when we have a function to attend I usual have something to wear, and don't rush out and buy something I'm not happy with and won't wear again. Good advice spoken very elegantly.

@LELdesignOmg yes 🙌 also my number 1 rule when shopping is Don’t buy a problem, whenever I catch myself thinking hard on how to style a piece, that’s enough for me to leave it where it is hun cuz I have enough hard decisions to make and a piece of clothes is not one of them 😂
