— @Loulapalouza

With just a few simple tools, including a utility knife, putty knife, and sander, you'll be able to repair your damaged door in no time. Dan walks us through the process step-by-step, demonstrating how to apply the Bondo putty to the hole, sand it down for a smooth finish, and even add wood grain for a seamless repair.

Not only is this repair quick and easy, but it's also a great way to save otherwise damaged doors and extend their lifespan. Plus, with the wood grain technique, your repaired door will look just like new!

Mine was a freaking rubber spatula. Image my surprise when I flung it across the kitchen, and it HAD to land handle first into the door!

Appreciate the tutorial, but next time done use your front door in the photos when you’re repairing an interior door. The wall is different color, no paint drip on trim and even the paneling is different.

Could I just mud it if it never made a actual hole just a dent?

If your results aren't as nice as the poster of this video, don't worry. The completed door shown near the end of the video is not the one he repaired during the rest of the video. The grain pattern in the panel next to the repair spot does not match the grain pattern in the panel of the completed door, so.... I don't know why the OP would choose to lie like this, but you should be aware of what to expect (or what not to expect) from your project. Thanks for posting, anyway, OP. We're here to learn, so we're ok if your door doesn't look so perfect.

My son knocked over my door while it was off and it hit the corner of a chair. Broke right through to the other side :/ Unfortunately it's not even of a flat portion of the door.

Anybody notice the grain on the door looked different after the second coat? 🤔 They were crooked at first then they were perfect.

My project involves where the corner of a panel indent is kicked in. Slightly more complex but this video is super helpful. Thanks

I watched another guy put a piece of crumpled up paper down the hole then he sprayed the in side with low fill expansion foam as the backing then he bonded it. This way works as well I guess pick your poison. My son kicked a hole in my door that is weirdly sized and hard to find so I will be doing this soon.

if you have boys, they break everything

With kids I use that technique on drywall a lot. I use super glue to hold the wood in place. Usually put in multiple pieces. Then plaster of paris. Then drywall compound. Then spray knock down texture. Once it perfect, I leave for a couple of months until the wife gets irritated and paints it. 😅

the level of ignorance and misinformation in the home repair community is astounding. I don't see any notice or disclaimer anywhere in the video or the comments about the dangers of this resin. Guys please do your research before trying to replicate some random hack off of Youtube. Polymer resin like fiberglass Bondo is EXTREMELY hazardous and should be low on your list of last resorts to repair such a small ding like this, especially in-home. Without the proper (and very expensive) precautions, you are putting yourself in an unreasonable amount of danger to fix something so minor.

Low IQ individuals like the original poster end up with degenerative issues like cancer and lung failure later in life and never know why, and they just write it off to bad luck when it is so preventable.
