Learned a lot today. Thanks for this video. I would like you to add fenugreek to your list. Is it possible to explain various spice combinations for certain meats , beans ,lentil etc.
@jeanneborges6906people only know Cumin
@DonnyKurniawanisokThis was really informative, but.... She uses powdered ginger any time fresh is called for? Frankly, that's bizarre.
@ravidahliwal8791I grate dried ginger and that works for me
@cheemogirl93$200 pepper Canon worth it to me. Oxo grinder takes forever.
@JKHTXI never met anyone who uses garlic powder, always only fresh garlic in cloves :o
@industrialcathedralCeylon cinnamon is the best there is. I purchase it in the organic form, and use it in multiple ways.
@flgirl45I just started working with vanilla beans and I’ve never had so much fun
@ethanlewis3711U can also make choc with it 5:59
@CyanNoob-h2sThose seeds look like pumpkin seeds 4:30

@NohcalHandling Chilly with mask and goggles? who does that? It's not toxic or something.
@akhileshap9439Cumin smells like B O
@Ursaminor31As a very amateur herbalist, I can say that this video is very helpful and she knows what she's talking about. Very professional and informative.
@Gun_Flintfunny how she didnt show galangal😅😂
@ofirlevi9911"We're going to use the electric spice grinder" starts to sound like "it goes in the square hole". I wonder how people in the olden days used to process spices that couldn't be processed with a mortar and pestle.
@JerusalemStrayCatI truly appreciate and enjoyed the presentation!
@sandahorvath-berindea1593Just watching you grind that made my eyes water
@WildsharkerIn most cases I usually use a mortar to grind spices, why? Because when you use an electric grinder you release all the essential oils, aromas, flavors and sometimes it's too much. When you use a mortar you control how much you want a given plant to give its flavors to your dish or sometimes even just the aroma/flavor notes. It makes a huge difference most the time.
@lewy9604I didn't see how to grind the cacao nibs - did I miss it?!
@Røn-Ayresisn't it guntur kharam? 14:43
@sukumarakur7p51guntur sanam?
@sukumarakur7p51Great job on your presentation skills throughout the whole video. I’m extremely looking forward to watching more videos you presented.
@marksiedlecki2138😍😍🥰😍😍😍🥰😍😍💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓
@ajiththayil4271I like to briefly roast spices before grinding them, makes it easier to grind and releases a nice aroma.
@thespicytravelgirl229716:21 I always heard the best way is to crush the saffron and then melt the powder over ice cubes to preserve delicate flavors
@thespicytravelgirl2297Idiot me just put my nose on the screen and tried to smell the ground spices
@thespicytravelgirl2297You have missed so many spices. Make this video again. And this time as all the spices in the world.
@harkeeratsingh2509How about canenyne pepper?
@LightBowgun-xl7qgI love coriander spice but hate cilantro lol
@Anej1880Saying that something is “so vanilla” does not refer to vanilla it’s referring to vanilla ice cream, which is the most plain of all the ice creams. Vanilla is an amazing spice and is very complex like you said. This is amazing content! Thank you so very much for the education. Who was curious about a lot of these things. 😊
@hankweiser9859you got my like for that vanilla comment
@a.s.7936the fact that americans dont know how to do simple stuff is mind blowing, i am starting to think i was born in the wrong place wrong country wrong time… makes me feel every one around me is rtarded i feel like every time i go out i have to teach people how to be normal humans and is very disconcerting and very uncomfortable!
@fishingculture9125Me: Grind? Spice? Mortar and pestle. Do not argue with me.
