Video Overview & Insights
Puglia is actually several mini trips and most people plan it like it's one, which is exactly how you end up spending half your vacation in transit.

We spent 12 days in Puglia figuring out which towns are actually worth your time, whether you need a car, the best bases for each region, and the mistakes we'd tell our friends to avoid before they book anything.
This is the big-picture Puglia Trip Planning video covering the coast, the Valle d'Itria, the deep south, and how to string it all together into a route that actually makes sense.

We live in Italy, we've done this trip ourselves, and we're breaking it down the way a well-traveled friend would.
Thank you for another outstanding video. We were just in Italy in June and are already planning our return, based on your incredible videos. Keep up the amazing work. 😀

I did it with my wife without a car, from Napoli to Bari, Lecce, Taranto and back to Napoli. It required a lot of patience since some journeys needed buses instead of trains, for instance, from Napoli to Bari and from Lecce to Taranto, where the bus left us very far from the city center, on a local bus stop in the middle of nowhere. From Taranto to Matera was the same, as the bus let us some 2 miles away from the old town so we had to get a taxi.
There is no direct train from Taranto to Napoli so we took a bus to Salerno, stayed for some days to visit Amalfi and Positano, then proceeded back to Napoli.
