Contact lens tutorial

HOW TO: insert and remove contact lenses

My second day of using monoview. The lens is about 2-3 times thinner than the one in this video. Placing it went in one go, with the aid of videos like this one.
Removing is still a thing I need to get better with. Will try a few methods.
Thank you for the instruction.

0:14 Intro

0:40 Step 1. Wash your hands

I am afraid I will break my lenses. Only reason I am looking at tutorial no because I broke 2 of my lenses in the span of 5-6 months. I have the yearly one. The monthly one does not suit me & I think the daily lenses packs create lots of waist. Any suggestions ? I have been wearing lenses for the past 7 years even this happened this time idk why ?

1:04 Step 2. The taco test

2:12 Step 3. Insertion

Took me an average of 30 minutes and frustration and dumping my contacts for a year till this guy. Then it took me two tries on each eye and it was in. My word.

5:11 Step 4. Removal

Today we talk about how to put contacts in for beginners, we will go over the insertion and removal of lenses

On the first time, did all of u contact lens user feel a burning sensation on the eye as soon as the contact lens was placed? Or is it just me?
Also after wearing the contact lens first time, after removing it, did u guys had a weird uncomfortable feeling on the eye for 3 days? or is it just me?
I wore for 5 hours on my first time and couldn’t wear it again because it took me 3 days to feel recovered.

I personally think it's much easier to put them on then remove them, I really can't pull them out, I end up hurting myself while trying to pinch the lens out

I’m really starting to wonder about you tube. I made an appointment today for an eye test. I don’t want glasses, and am thinking about contacts. I was going to look at videos soon on you tube on the process for putting them in, and removal. This video and others started popping up without any inquiries by me. 🤔

@Bluelight.Glitch

I prefer putting them in to taking them out. When removing sometimes I feel the lense wanting to suck back to my eyeball and it makes me think I'm actually pulling on my cornea and it freaks me out a bit. It just feels like damage is more likely during removal and since I usually remove them at night close to bedtime if there's an issue getting them out that's a problem. If it's difficult to get them in that's in the morning and I can just wear glasses. Cheers

“It’s important to stay calm during this process…”
Why….. WHY… would you say that!? Literally everyone watching this is having a panic attack. Like seriously…why would you say that <facepalm>

I've spent a good 2 hours trying to take my contact lenses off trying various techniques, crying and getting frustrated in between, but this is the one that allowed me to finally take them off!!! Thank you so much! Praise God!

Setting a checkpoint for myself. That today I start to train away my eyes closing reflex. I will come back when I am wearing contacts.

@Visiko

There is a way easier method. Place the contact lens right under the bottom eyelid, park it there, and gently pull the upper lid to let the lens sink in. To remove, open both the bottom and upper wide as shown in this video. Then, at the same time, squeeze it out by applying pressure from the inner corner toward the outer edge. This will squeeze out the contact lens, causing it to pop out (only tried it on a soft contact lens). If your eyes are dry, it might be harder to get it out, so keep them moist.

I thought I was the only one who took an hour to get my lenses in but reading the comments on this excellent video let me know I am not alone!!! After two months, it’s taking me 3-5 attempts in my left and 1-3 on my right eye to get them in but tomorrow I will try your technique. I thought of giving up on the contacts but I love them so much once they are in. Much better vision with contacts than with my glasses.

I have no problem with touching my eye, but the problem is that the lenses always always always stick to my finger and get flipped back. How can I overcome this. I'd be touching my eye with the lenses for minutes and they don't stick
