Tbh NordVPN is great just not great for P2P ... Id recommend just using ExpressVPN I use both for 2 different purposes.

I used to always follow this tutorial for other PC's and it always worked. Unfortunately, when I did this to my new PC recently, it didn't work because if you just try again, the tools web reference doesn't show proxy 5 option and therefore when attempted it doesn't utorn anything or show utorn pro option. Can a new fix for this?

Hi I followed this process, as I used to do this on my old win 7 PC. Now I have A NUC win 10, and I followed to the letter as in your tutorial. I am in the UK. However, I am still trying to connect to peers even after 30mins nothing downloads. I am using NORD VPN, Nothing works, any suggestion please?? Nothing will download.

I'm US based and recently got Nordvpn and wanted to use utorrent. I followed your instructions using sock5 to setup the proxy but after doing so my utorrent wont download anything (despite reinstalling utorrent). if I use "none" for proxy servers than utorrent works fine but then my ip address would be disclosed and be tracked. Tried qbitorrent too, had same issue.

If I'm using utorrents as per your above video instructions then do I need to have my NordVPN turned off when i use utorrent or does it even matter? Is having bot active together a problem

If I have NordVPN already activated do I even need to separately set up the utorrent sock5 proxy to keep my downloads private? is using NordVPN on its own not good enough where i can use utorrent directly without any proxy setup?

If I do still need to use a proxy despite Nordvpn being active can you advise on what I'm doing wrong and why my utorrent wont download anything when I use the sock5 proxy. So I have tried this with Bittorrent/uTorrent and still can not get it to connect. I've tried following their guide on their site and won't connect(which they say to use the username/password that generated on your Dashboard on the site) a long with how you have done it here as well. Still tells me that it can't connect. What may I be doing wrong?

Hello Mike. I got stuck in some problems. So I have some questions:
1. Do I need to set up this proxy if my vpn is on anyway while torrenting?
2. Can my vpn app protect my torrents if my vpn is run under my browser only?
3. When I wanted to select the security protocol, there was no Socks5 on the list and the best server recommendation changed every 5 minutes. Can I choose another proxy server type in preferences?

I live in Europe and Socks5 or HTTP servers do not exist in Europe or are very few.
1. Do I need the Nordvpn application running on the background to download torrents from uTorrent ?
2. Some torrents especially from Codex group do not find any peers, is this related with the Socks5 that are not so common with Nordvpn ? (Cause in general there are around 35 Socks5 in US and more than 400 for HTTP, HTTP Cybersec , OpenVPN etc ).
3. Is it safe to use utorrent when the Application Nordvpn doesn't run?

Hi Mike loved this torrent tutorial, I was wondering if you could do a YT tutorial on putting NordVpn onto a NETGEAR Nighthawk R7000 1300Mbps 5-Port Wireless Router.

Love it very easy to follow great, all my torrents protected now.

A couple of questions please. 1. I am using the free version of utorrent, does that matter in any way? 2. Do I need my listening port selected like you have it? 3. I did what you did for set up and I am downloading fine, BUT, where you turned off Authentication just to show that it would stop downloading..I did that and it never stopped downloading, didn't even slow it down. What did I do wrong? I followed step by step when you did it. Thanks for a great video!

At 2:31, where are you getting the torrent file from? What site or is it part of utorrent?
