Happy Father's Day to dark vader
@dare.to.the.devil51Happy Fathers Day
@mattwolf7698Fun fact, to hide the plot twist from everyone on set, David Prowse (the guy who played Vader on set) said instead, "Obi-Wan killed your father." At the time of this scene, only three people knew this line was going to happen: Mark Hamel, George Lucas himself, and the director Irvin Kirshner.
@DanIsHumanHappy father’s day ❤
@Diego.Pablo.MazuelaHAPPY FATHER'S DAY 🎉🎉🎉
@lewisjones4130so whats the original version? this or the Toy story?
@alkhojames7504The end. After Luke becomes the one handed hermit who lives in the ventilation duct.
@robertr2849My life a movie
@SupremeOverlordG“Luke, I am your father”
@SwaveyHardawayWhenever I watch this scene, I'm amazed at how good this movie is. Definitely top 3 of sci fi
@jeffreychase32871:00 "alright you little bastard you're starting to piss me off"

WHAT DA-
Someone told me the end of the "I am your father" shot is extended by reversing the last second and now I can't unsee it. You can see him kind of shift a tiny bit upwards and then back down.
@KobafordIt's crazy how Lucas had David Prowse say "No, Obi-Wan killed your father" when they were filming that scene, so that even the cast and crew members wouldn't know the truth until the film came out and they heard James Earl Jones' voice say the iconic line "No, I am your father".
@RomanissimusHe said Luke before that I know he did
@Mrdudeguy2Bro these movies suck so cringy and overly dramatic
@CarlosOspina-z7sChills, every time
@Ikoafs2:53 I feel as if any parent of a teenager can relate to that look. 😂😂
@PixarSharkMe expecting to hear "Luke, i am your father." Instead its "No, i am your father." 😂
@Tarnthewarrior1:10 there is no escape
@SuperSonicFan-332:52 The way Vader puts his hand down makes it seem as if he's thinking "for fks sake" like he really can't believe his own son just chose falling to his death over joining him 😂
@J_C_CHWhen this came out you simply did not get plot twists like this. The big bad-guy was scary and the little plucky Hero overcame the odds to destroy them to prove that good conquers evil, the Hero's long dead family looks down on them from heaven with pride. Complete subversion on that whole set-up. Yes you can have this event spoiled long before you see it, but also all of pop culture is now filled with emotional complexity on this level in good-vs-evil stories. You can have the power of this scene watered down by simply having higher expectations for adventure stories. Which only came about because this changed the norm.
@VanderWolls0:58 when you’re play-fighting with your son and he hits you too hard
@KenSanGamingIt’s Luke I am your father
@blackout2430What’s crazy, is Luke is a Jedi Knight right from the start of Return of The Jedi, right?
I’ve been watching this movie for years and just now realized that in this one fight, Luke faces 4/5 of his Jedi Trials in Jedi Knighthood. Against Yoda and Obi Wan’s will, odds stacked against him, the will of the force leading, faces 4/5 of his Jedi trials against his own father
Vader: got hit on the shoulder
Vader: alright son thats it
I am your father…(お前の父親はワシじゃ…)
NOOOOO!!(嘘だーッ!!)
James Earl Jones actually thought Vader was lying. Since George Lucas was told that a lot of people would think Vader was lying, he had Yoda confirm it in episode 6.
@williamfincher22601:54 “No, I am your father”
This quote never gets old
Classic
@KristinNeal-i1gI call this scene “the fight on the golf club”
@dcram761:05 😂
@HunterElliott-i2zWhen Luke fell Vader brought down his hand and was prolly like "oh for fucks sake"
@meerak-n5nPart of me thinks Vader wanting Luke to join him is to cling onto the last shred of Padme he has left. And when we reach the end of Return of the Jedi, he’s let go of his clinging and simply wants his and Padme’s children to live on. Which comes full circle for Anakin.
@ianoliver22242:53
Always amazing to me how emotions can come out of Vader. That is the ultimate, WTF?
The one that saved him in internal wall is the not the villian wake up😅 we saved him three times
@alizulqarnain7739I was wrong to think Vader could be good with kids.
@johnwebb4499Luke did SO much better here with barely any training than the third sister did.
@P4L3KN1GHTMe at school at 1:06
@BABYYODAKIDOFFICIALWhat can be said about this scene that hasn’t already been said? One of the most monumental and jaw-dropping scenes of all time, man.
@NoahClevinger2:52
Anakin, internal dialogue: Yeah, he's mine alright...
