Bro just filled the list with anime. Here's what I'd actually recommend:

Trust me on this. If you loved RI, you'll love these. I don't read garbage with brain-dead, overpowered MCs collecting women for no reason. I like cold, calculating, ruthless, decisive protagonists who earn every bit of their strength through intelligence and hard work.

Most of the novels people recommend are complete bullshit. The only exceptions are Shadow Slave and LOTM. The rest are just some random dude's power fantasy with zero substance.

If you enjoyed the Solo Leveling anime and the RI webnovel, you'll especially love god of Tricksters. And no, it's not what you're probably imagining. It's set in a modern world like Solo Leveling, but it's on another level. You could even call it the father of Solo Leveling. The MC is as cunning and intelligent as Fang Yuan himself.

Yeah, I'm ranting because I'm sick of seeing the same trash recommendations everywhere. I genuinely think the internet has terrible taste, which is exactly why generic isekai and harem stories keep getting hyped.

Long story short: god of Tricksters is the only webnovel I've read that's genuinely on par with RI.

There is also a manhwa. I couldn't wait for the new season so I started reading the web novel, and let me tell you this is the best.

A character that doesn't make the right decision but the best decision for the given scenario. How real it feels to real life despite being a fantasy. No loophole in the story. Best webnovel out there for me.

Why do web novel rankings only show action/fantasy power-system? Don't people read anything else, is there even a Sherlock Holmes of web novels? And why do LN recs only feature the same 2 isekai? There are other genres out there, like Oregairu, 86, NGNL (which is an isekai, but focuses on games instead of fighting),The Empty Box and Zeroth Maria or even non-fantasy drama

I started reading Lord of the mysteries recently up to chapter 275. What really bothers me is that Klein appears to know a lot more about this world than the reader, so many of the conclusions he coomes to, feel like he just made them up on the spot. Just feels like bad writing to me. Does this get better over the course of the novel?

ORV for me is the best. I love it very much anyone who haven't read it should definitely give it a try. I can promise that they won't be disappointed, the world building along with the characters is overall great

Both are attrociously written the whole concept of knowing the future or story they are in nullifies all stakes and takes away from action. Both are C or C- in my opinion.
I alone level up is very very mundane, it does what it needs well I would rate it C+. The comic is way better
Throne of magical arcana at least has some grip on what it wants to do and is fairly well written in most parts. A or A+

Shadow is poorly written , within first 20 chapters all you read is bunch of "shit and fuck" and the premise is similiar to any "I become a Necromancer" type novel.

If you wanted to read something unique , you'd read the novel that is from the point of view of Xenomorph. Dude plays a game about evolving and chooses to start as a facehugger.
Same premise as Omiscent viewpoint , but much more intriguing setup.

Even This Tutorial is too hard is better or Main Character Hides his Strenght.
