I loved the rework, when he launched, I spam him in toplane, the E stun lasted way longer, the E had more range, the Q had lowerr cooldown and like double the damage, the passive dealt tons of damage, and the ult lasted longer too, they overnerfed to a point where he feels weak, and it only tanks and has CC but it is nothing compared to when the rework arrived

in the early vids your also building skarner as full tank which makes him feel absolutely awful as a skarner player i cant stand tank skarn he is much better as a bruiser AD/HP is your best friend.

As a 22 mastery skarner main love both of my scorpions and i want to say that skarner's damage being totally dependent on his hp is cool and the thing is that i play him with a full tank and titanic hydra build and i get 9k damage per fight if it helps

i tried him hail of blades and hydra and i nearly one shot everyone

I haven't played for a year, so I don't know if it still works but my favorite Skanner build was assasin Skanner: Hail of blades, collector, titanic hydra or more lethality items, and for fun I ran ignite instead of flash

5:15 Aatrox, Xin, Riven, Vlad, Viego, Zaahen, Mundo, Tahm and basically any champ that builds Sundered Sky, Deaths Dance or omnivamp

If Skarner's greatest value is assisting in takedowns, why not just buy all support items.

I've found a lot of success with 2 lithality items into a tank pivot with randuin's into Kaenic and if stuff is tuff locket third, though this is for jungle if u really want to play tank skarner and feel like u are getting a lot out of it I recommend support skarner with hail of blades, tank skarner support is really good all of the items are cheap and great value with hail of blades it gives u really good early prio and with the support item his q poke is amazing (try to hit minions and not the enemy champ you will land the abilitys damage way easier the splash is way bigger than u think and the projectile it self sucks so try to splash using minions). Skarner is a amazing pick cause of how flexible he is u really would not imagine his kit and being called flexible but I have found a lot of value in tank, bruiser, and assassin, skarner is a really good as a 1st pick cause at least one of his builds will work out and give your team what u need, just don't play AP skarner for the love of god, Liandry's is actually good like 3rd 4th item one tank or bruiser skarner if u do not have a team mate that builds it. Idk skarner is good overall just takes time to understand how to play him and what build benefits your team the best.

I also find bandlepipes or zekes are good cheap items that synergize well with skarner's kit. Also if you land ult while your E is up it almost guarantee lands on who you ulted technically you can flash out to avoid it but its a really small window

in fact, frost gauntlet is better than trinity on skarner, lot of armor and the damage come from the sheen + the slow, if you want damage, go PTA with kraken / titanic hydra / sterak, that's one of a kind build

i m a skinar enjoyer (400 000 mastery on him) and i whuld give away the current skaner ult w and e to almost enything else bc they are just that bad(and feals dog shit to use exspesaly the ult) old skaner was my GOAT and they killed him

I played rell before her rework. You have no clue what no fricking damage really is. Skarner is a nuke compared to that.

skarners whole kit is based on slowing and dragging the enemy, build titanic hydra first it boost youre damage by ALOT and skarner top and sup is superior to jungle skarner as top youre tanky and can slam enemy under the tower for free kills, tp to bot to get more kills if theres a fight and sup skarner has the best roam possible and perfect contest for jungle, if you understand this skarner MIGHT carry the whole team, skarner (my beloved) carried me to diamond 2 from brozne 3.

As much as I love the item and the scaling, I think heartsteel is pretty bait on Skarner. Protoplasm has treated me pretty well and because of how cheap it is, I tend to win early duels for my jungle and survive fights I wouldn't have.
