I was wrong about VPNs

I use VPNs to securely connect to the networks of our clients. Because that’s what VPNs are for.

How do you know the VPN is not going to track and save your data and give to the NSA?

The problem with using third party vpns like nord is, yes it hides traffic but now your giving all your traffic to the vpn provider. Makes no sense to me. Try running the Wireshark inside the third party vpn provider network and you will see all the same and if they got tls stripping well then they can see everything.

NordVPN is just crap, it's a shame that you advertise them. They are far from reliable, and keeps tracks. Mullvad stores everything in RAM only, so for them it's just to pull the plug or if raided, all the data is gone.

Nah, I just use a DNS... that does me good so far. And 10.

At 7:09 it's mentioned that PureVPN admitted that they helped the FBI track down an internet stalker using logs (supposedly a non-logging VPN provider). I wanted to check their website today in 2026, as the article Chuck pointed out was from back in 2017. I found that they have a section on their website now called "No log assessment".

Here's what it states:
"PureVPN keeps zero logs of your internet activity. Well known audit firm was recently engaged in an exercise to assess the compliance of our VPN infrastructure with our privacy policy."

Gotta love that "Well known audit firm" placeholder lmao.

NordVPN in Panama should make you leary and not warm and fuzzy. They can hack data all they want and not be subject to our laws or prosecution or warrants or subpoenas and the list goes on.

Let’s talk about VPN’s and Nord’s in particular a bit more. I used Nord for years and finally decided to get rid of them because some important internet players (to me anyway) started blocking communications that were going through Nord’s servers. I understand that you can now get a static IP from them – for a price – that will mitigate most of this. But Nord is certainly NOT up front with what this added cost will be; “add at checkout”. And how does this impact usability? Does it restrict you to a particular server that may or may not be overloaded? How much additional latency does it add with the translation/routing that it undoubtedly requires? Can you turn it on or off at will? What about persistent split tunneling? It’s not particularly helpful with organizations that are developing user pattern analysis; in fact, it seems to put you back into the individual analysis box.


The situation that upset me most is when I tried to uninstall their software. What a mess! It had embedded itself so deeply that I needed to rebuild every Windows machine that it was installed on. They seem to do their best to prevent you from moving to a competitor. They didn’t support Linux back then, but it seems they have some support these days. There is more, but these are the key points.

I trust Mullvad because they got raided not long ago by police ...and ... they found nothing of use. That's a pretty good way to gain my trust.

The content is irrelevant. It is conflict of interest. You cant just deny it by saying "trust me ill go hard" and then just simp Nord VPN for 15 mins as a glorified ad. Sorry.

So vpns aren't needed, but now that your sponsored by one they are.

The only vpn i trust is Mullvad

Now we are sending all our data to a VPN server.
And this no logs stuff is useless. Nord VPN is logging your data if your government is knocking on their door.
After that they can link all your data to your mail-address. Because you can't use Nord VPN without paying and giving them your e-mail - address.
Thats why I use Mullvad VPN. Use crypto as payment and create a random code as useraccount. They never ask for any data from you.
Best thing: they don't do ads. They are just serious about privacy, thats it

Love your videos! and thanks for your prayers......I too am a longtime VPN user and have NordVPN installed as a gateway on a pfSense home router to route all traffic through NordVPN (as per one of your older videos). The only issue I have not been able to resolve is that outbound mail from MS Outlook fails to get delivered and will just sit in the Outbound folder until the pfSense gateway is switched to the ISP gateway.......any thoughts??

If I were a state sponsored bad actor, I would run a VPN company. It wouldn't be the cheapest, but reasonable. Performance would be great. I wouldn't need to make a profit.
