Josh Kerr looked different from how he looks now
Norway's Jakob Ingebrigtsen won the men's 1500m final at Tokyo 2020 and set an Olympic record as Kenya's Timothy Cheruiyot took silver and Great Britain's Josh Kerr bronze.
Norwayβs Jakob Ingebrigtsen has had a dream start to his Olympic career by beating world champion Timothy Cheruiyot and setting a new record to win the menβs 1500m at Tokyo 2020.
Wow what a race!!
At just 20, the European Champion is now the second youngest winner of the event. He had set a blistering pace from the start and held on to the lead for the first lap before Kenyaβs Cheruiyot overtook him at the Olympic Stadium. But he stayed close on his heels and on the third bend of the closing lap he made his move and overtook the 25-year-old and crossed the line in 3:28.32 to set a new Olympic record. Cheruiyot took silver in 3:29.01.

Quando o queniano o ultrapassa, ele mantΓ©m o mesmo ritmo e usa o queniano para quebrar a resistΓͺncia do ar a corrida inteira. O queniano foi muito corajoso de tomar a frente e quase conseguiu manter pelo restante da prova. No fim, o noruegues estava menos cansado que o queniano e ultrapassou-o. A corrida Γ© linda de mais!

@AlexAmarMusicIngebrigtsen is a super runner... superior heart, superior lungs, not to forget superior legs. In the past we had Aouita, Ngeny, Morceli, Lagat, and best of all... El Guerrouj. But Ingebrigtsen is todays superstar. However he needs to beat the mile record to be recognised as such. I don't think he'll beat the 1500m record, but he could prove me wrong. The future is interesting for sure.
