Roughly 16 years ago, Apple unveiled the first iPhone, running iPhone OS 1. Fast forward 16 years and iOS 16 is released. iOS 16 is (obviously) much more capable and powerful than iPhone OS 1, from basic features to advanced customization, privacy, intelligence features, and so much more. So, theoretically, how would the first iPhone look like if it ran iOS 16?

Everything (except for the icons and wallpapers and the part where Craig goes down the elevator) was designed by me in Figma and animated in Rive and After Effects.

It would be dope as a project to redesign its motherboard to fit an iPhone SE second gen motherboard parts into the iPhone 2g motherboard model. For the screen i would use one from an iPhone 4 and add the front camera as a feature on it. An expensive but interesting concept of a new design iPhone 2g

Why the iPhone 1 can't run iOS 16:
#1: Hardware limitations: The first iPhone has 128MB of RAM and 4GB of storage.
#2: Processor: The first iPhone has a 32-bit processor, and it needs a 64-bit processor in order to run properly.

if this was real that iPhone would crash every 2 goddamn seconds on iOS 16, even the 3G on iOS 4 is not fast, and the 4S on 9 from what i’ve heard is extremely miserable

bro that phone only has edge (at best 400kbs)... it's only good for phone calls for another 3-4 years before 2G shuts down for good. Not to mention running iOS 16 on a 32 bit, single core processor, with 64 mb of ram would be damn impressive. lol
