iPhone Air - Up In The Air About It!

Video Overview & Insights

iPhone Air - First 100 Days - Flop or Quiet Success - 10 Things I Noticed - iPhone Air brings an all new thin design, updated camera and more. In this video I go over the experience of using iPhone Air and share battery life, durability, scratches and talk about the experience of what is good and bad about the latest iPhone Air compared to the iPhone 717 Pro Max. #iPhoneAir #iPhone17Pro #Apple #iOS26

I just purchased the Air in black, it arrives today. I’m upgrading from a 13 mini. Let’s see how it works for me. The Air is not that much heavier than the 13 mini.

I’m not up in the air about it. To each their own. I’ve had it for two weeks now. The speaker is not great but not the deal breaker. The battery is. Such a gorgeous phone. Perfect screen size. Sadly it’s going back as soon as I have a day off of work. I just cannot handle a phone that I have to charge so much.

The iPhone Air felt like the most premium iPhone ever made — super light, sleek, and just amazing to hold. But at the same time, Apple really pushed the limits of obsolescence with it. The battery life is underwhelming, and the lack of stereo speakers makes it feel like a step back in daily use. It’s beautiful, but clearly compromised.

My Air overheats a-lot. When playing videos it just spins and fails to load. Ridiculous for the price. I love the feel of the phone though. Best in hand feel iphone ever.

I think it’s really nice that Apple makes the phone for every type of person for those people who are mentalist who don’t care about cameras. I don’t really care that much about speaker. The iPhone Air is a great phone. For the pro users who do a lot of the other pro stuff there’s a pro phones and for most people the iPhone 17 does what they wanted to do people by the iPhone Air because of the premium peel and materials that are put into the phone they like that and they’re willing to sacrifice those other compromises for it if they were to put a second speaker in the iPhone Air, maybe they would have to decide whether the side would be aluminum or titanium. I don’t know. But We’ll see if there’s an iPhone Air two right now I’m headed over to the T-Mobile app and going to sign up for the iPhone Air now just decide which color to go with. I do listen to YouTube I don’t you wear your AirPods but I think it’ll be OK for some things if I want really good music I’ll just hook up a Bluetooth that’ll give me the surround sound I like thanks.

I use the iPhone Air and it’s a beautiful phone. It has a great shape. It’s the future for sure. But the problem I had was that one speaker I just could not move past that they yeah I just couldn’t move past that single speaker. Why they didn’t add a second speaker to that phone I do not know. But I think that phone was designed for a specific niche. I think in my mind people who wear AirPods all the time and don’t care about speakers and that kind of thing but I think for the price point they could’ve added a few more things. A better battery an extra speaker definitely but I think that would change the dynamics of the phone itself. You know that phone is ultra thin so more features means bigger and thicker so I don’t know how they would do it but we’ll see. Maybe that’ll be an iPhone or two I’m gonna hold out and see if there will be cause I really like it. I just cannot get past that one single speaker, especially if I’m on a call where I have the phone and I have to talk to the speaker. You know I’m somebody’s assisting me with something that just didn’t work for me especially in a noisy place anyway and I don’t like to wear your AirPods all the time I just took me out. I don’t want things shoved in my ears all the time. I wanna hear what’s around me anyway thank you for reading.

The best color. In this plato sould be a second camera. Like an ultra-wide! But first of all, is a very good first execution. If they can put a bigger battery, this will be my next phone.

I have both. I absolutely love the design. It feels so good to use without a case. The battery is solid. You can pick them up cheaper than the MSRP. I bought an unlocked 1tb model for 1000 bucks on eBay. The black air is so clean and it’s a color I miss greatly on the pro max. The Air is much more durable than the pro. While I very much enjoy the Air there are a few compromises that really hurts this device. You’d think that Battery would be a concern. For me, even as a heavy user I can get a day of use out of it. Because of the smaller battery it does charge up fairly quickly. The speakers and the camera are the reasons why I end up going back to the Pro. The speaker isn’t horrible but not great. I used it for a zoom meeting and a slightly loud environment and had a hard time hearing the conversation at full volume. The speaker does sound a little distorted at full volume. I like to watch videos from time to time and most certainly the sound is far less superior than even the regular 17 series. I also have kids that often have events. We also enjoy going to concerts. The wide angle and zoom is sorely missed for these types of camera uses. If they added another speaker and another camera with wide angle and some improved zoom this phone would be god tier.

I got this phone a week ago. I see the value of this device is long term. The most valuable thing is the weight. It will save your wrist as it's significantly less mass. For some, this is extremely valuable. It's not about being weak, but projecting long term strains on your body. It's real. Also, because of it's sleekness once you get it, you can't unsee how bulky everyone else's phone is. I think most people don't have this because society values function over form. However, this phone is highly functionable and has a better form.

Of course, features seen on the base iPhone is missing. Most people think they care but they really don't. I don't even use my phone for social media. People forget, the most important feature of the phone is that it makes phone calls and receives them. This does it well. The screen is gorgeous. The one speaker is adequate and high quality. I use it for AI apps and YouTube it does that great. Nobody really thinks when taking photos this is a telescopic camera or wide angle camera. People just point and click.

This is the most practical, elegant phone they made. Making it less immersive so you can function and complete your daily tasks is the true value. If I want immersion I will go on my computer with a 4k screen, comfortable chair and high end shelf speakers. If you don't want or have access to other media devices and you want your phone to be that device, then get a different phone. You'd do better with a Samsung fold phone. If you don't need a bifold or trifold phone, you might as well go all in on the air. Let it be light and simple. I completely disagree with this review and most reviews about it's reiteration should make it to par in functionality with it's other powerhouse brother phones.

I honestly think this is a work of genius on Apple's part. I give them much credit for the courage to go against the current of society of wanting more. I am happy with the price, if you could pay $800 dollars, you can pay $1000 for a better designed phone. This isn't 1955 where 100 dollars used to be of higher value. When you use it on the daily you do not miss a thing: including power, battery life, and a speaker. This is someone who is coming from a Samsung z fold 4.

Will probably get the iPhone Air 2 if it has stereo speakers

A second speaker and denser battery and it will be golden. I love that it only has a single camera.

Hey Aron! Thanks for the great video. I love my iPhone Air. Now in iOS 26.3, there’s a feature to charge the battery up to a maximum of 90%, for example. What do you think about that? What’s the best way to go about having plenty of battery life throughout the day? I switched from the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

I absolutely love the Air. I usually opt in for the pro models , but wanted something that was not too big and bulky. Love how it feels in my hand. A Sweet spot in between the 17 pro and pro max. No problems with the battery life or cameras.

@shuntinar
@

Got the 17 instead. This one is just uncomfortable and is not worth the premium price. Yes, it’s thin, but it’s far too large

@AntonandSinan
@

yeah I think a new battery chemistry is needed

@jaslarja
@

Its a very good phone. But its not for everyone. It should have had been cheaper, a lot cheaper.

I have been using Android for a long time, but also have used Iphone for 8 months and was literally disappointed with IOS. However, my favorite phone of all time is Iphone 13 mini and love that phone a lot. I was looking forward for 14/15 Mini but Apple disappointed me like always. Was also looking forward for 16e, but again was disappointed as it was no where close to Mini.

Coming to Air I got my wife Iphone 17 pro silver / white color and I wanted to get an Airfor myself. But after I learned that Air has USB 2.0, I was like foo I am out of here. I am currently using S23 Ultra and all these new phones aren't impressing me at all. I hope Apple really steps up the game for Air 2 / 3. Put a better hardware all around. I will be skipping Air 2, but may go for Air 3 as by that time Apple must have learned a lot of things and make it worth the price.

Coming from the 14 Pro (in stainless steel), I love the reduced weight of the Air (in Titanium) … as well as the reduced bulk in my pocket

Much too skinny for my man-hands. I want more bulk. The thicker iPhone 18 Pro Max should fit the bill.
