Is Elden Ring Nightreign ACTUALLY Good?

I feel like I wasted my money with this game. I know it is absolutely a great game, but I don't have friends that play or like fromsoft games, and I don't like playing with strangers. So that just leaves me with singleplayer, and its not fun. Ive just gone back to elden ring challenge runs.

most frustrating part when people abandoned the game and you're the only one left standing and trying your best at it

He didn't mention it but the ironeye mark also break after you do enough damage doing decent damage and massive stance damage to get a vicseral

It is good for experienced players... Frustrating and painful for newbies. Simple as that.

I´m something inbetween new player and experienced and it was pure Pain for me TBH.. I have played Elden Ring base game + DLC and finished it 200+ hrs... But here I was just getting destroeyd, took me 12 hrs to Beat solo the Tutorial boss the DOGGO...
Also don´t like the limited time.. It just goes way too fast for solo play.. I mean when I die or I get lost for a few seconds It´s mostly over for me always. I´m about to RQ and reset. Should atleast make more time for solo players especially newbies.. I can´t imagine newbies that never played ER... They won´t be able to get thrgh first night boss even.

I've always wished for an "infinite" version of Nightreign, and yet my friends said, "Just play Elden Ring." To that, I beg to differ, I think i'll make my own video so I can give my opinions but this game is definitley very fun as i love roguelites, however the cap on when you beat the game kinda sucks. The roguelite/roguelike elements in a game wihtout an infinite version kinda sucks

I would but this game if it had a PvP feature or in a huge discount. Looks fun but kinda repetitive from what I've seen.

I bought this damn game thinking it was an exploration focused Elden Ring expansion. I was wrong and I dont like it.

I feel like I wasted my money. I don't have even 10 hours in it since release :/ I enjoyed the demo so idk what changed. Wish I could get my money back

It’s such a shame Fromsoft decided to waste all that Dev time on zoomer garbage. What could have been a second DLC became a brainrot Fortnight knock off. This and Duskborne’s schlock is pretty much all we’ll see from Fromsoft for the next decade

the game relies so heavily on teamwork that if you have a greedy or incompetent teammate they can ruin the entire run within minutes of starting by stealing every legendary regardless of being able to use them or not understanding their classes role. teams usually fall apart long before the night comes and by the time you get their you resent your team of archers with legendary colossal weapons who just ruin the whole experience. overall good game but needs a way of punishing team mates for greed or like a vote to replace team mates function

I never played this game... but it feels like compressing all the "action" into one bite, while removing the grindy and (arguably) annoying parts.

Just combat and boss fights, less but unique weapons, with coop. No fear over losing souls in an annyoing area, no finishing a whole game for one item for pvp, or having to go ng+ to use in pve

Perfect for playing souls in short sessions, no logging in after few weeks of being busy but forgetting where you were in a run

But (seems) a little repetitive, intense, always on the run, no exploring a well designed world, no world/stroy/character progression, no shaping up a unique build/cosplay.

Still playing and having fun with the dlc. I'm hoping for more

All I can say after playing it is this is a mod with money behind it. No voice or chat comms in a coop game. Weird rogue-lite game feel while kinda not being one. And now having even less shame with copy and pasting bosses from other games I wonder if this game was made in a week or two. This is definitely a $25-30 DLC to the base game of Elden Ring. Your better off just finding a mod on the nexus

Nightreign is not a FromSoftware game.

It acts like one, looks inspired by one, but it is not made by the Elden Ring / Dark Souls / Bloodborne developers.
That is why it feels so badly balanced and unfair.

No its not fun its totally opposite of fun,it is horrible, the worst game I have never played

This game sucks with out friends. I cant communicate.

It took some time to grow on me but you can't go in it with a mentality it's like the original game it'll throw you off but I will say the newer class is actually really fun they added an actual class ability which would have done wonders in the base game

This is a cool concept for a game, but I really hope they don't make too many games just like this.

PERFECT FOR THOSE WHO DON'T HAVE TIME . WHO CAN'T BUILD OR HAVE NO IDEA .. or just want to try out a Fromsoft game. Not as good as the real thing .. but a mere dabble into the life.

i might play this again when someone finaly makes amod to add all dark souls bosses they should have added from the trilogy tothis game. for now theres a lack of replayability .cause the day to day bosses are boring.

What this game is, is absolutely not why I play fromsoft games. I actually hated it. I was so stoked for a new Elden Ring DLC. I have been playing since DS1 and have thousands of hours in the DSes and Elden Ring.

But this...ugh. i mean cool for those who like it. But I hope to god its not the future of fromsoft games. I want the slow methodical action rpg experience with lots of hidden lore, not basically a frantic shrinking arena ala battle royale co-op thing.

I hate Nightreign so much, because rewarding this cheap sloppy garbage will only make FromSoft release more cheap sloppy garbage, already another one is planned with Duskbloods.

This type of game is simply cheap and pointless, FromSoft internet connectivity is beyond god damn garbage with attacks you dodge hitting you 5 minutes later and constant disconnects not to mention unnecessary over-complicating the process of co-oping in every single one of their games which is why I never bothered.

FromSoft can't do net-coding worth a damn but hey gamers love nothing more than to eat excrement then complain when companies act like EA, Ubisoft or Nintendo.
