In an age where the planet suffocates from climate collapse, where the Global South fights to decolonize its future, and where Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) offer a fragile roadmap for justice — a grotesque cry echoes from certain ideological trenches: Ghazwa-e-Hind. A so-called final war with India, where conquest is garbed in faith and prophecy is weaponized to mask failure.

But what if this fantasy is not a prophecy, but a perversion? What if the real Islam, as articulated by its greatest minds — Ibn Rushd, Al-Farabi, Al-Kindi, and Al-Mawardi — condemns this theological militarism?

I. The House That Bleeds: A Nation Devouring Its Own

APS School Massacre (2014): 132 children, bullets to their heads — not from foreign hands, but from their own.

Balochistan: A graveyard of missing voices.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Where schools become funeral processions.

Women in Waziristan: Denied the right to walk, speak, or learn.

The same state and militant networks that chant “victory over India” have failed spectacularly in providing food, health, dignity, or peace to their own.

Al-Farabi, the “Second Teacher” after Aristotle, envisioned the virtuous city (al-madina al-fadila), built on justice, reason, and collective well-being. If he saw this house of brutality today, he would call it what it is: a failed state of the soul.

II. Ghazwa-e-Hind and the Ghosts of 1971

In 1971, over 200,000 Bengali women were raped, thousands killed, and entire villages reduced to ash — by their own “Islamic army.” These weren’t Indian soldiers. These were men in green uniforms invoking faith while enacting genocide.

If Ibn Khaldun — the master of historiography — were alive, he’d say: "Dynasties fall not because of enemies, but because of the rot within."

So before anyone dares whisper Ghazwa-e-Hind, let them stare into the mirror of Dacca, Jessore, and the tortured wombs of violated women.

III. The Taliban: Strategic Depth or Strategic Dementia?

What was once Pakistan’s strategic asset — the Taliban — is now its eternal curse. In the name of Islam:

Art is banned.

Girls are caged.

Books are burned.

Shrines are bombed.

Even Ibn Rushd (Averroes), the great Andalusian thinker, warned against the literalist interpretation of scripture that leads to tyranny. He argued that reason and revelation must harmonize, or the result would be chaos disguised as piety — exactly what we see in Talibanistan.

IV. False Prophets in the Age of Global Justice

The real Ghazwa today is not about swords and horses. It is about ending hunger, educating girls, fighting climate change, and dismantling patriarchy.

To chant Ghazwa-e-Hind while failing every Sustainable Development Goal is to mock both God and humanity:

The Prophet would weep. And so would Al-Kindi, who declared: “The goal of the philosopher is to secure the welfare of the human soul.” What soul survives where conquest is glorified and children starve?

V. What Would the Caliphs Say?

Al-Mawardi, in Al-Ahkam al-Sultaniyya, demanded that rulers maintain justice, accountability, and public welfare.

Today's jihadi fantasists do none. They masquerade as torchbearers of the Caliphate while bombing schools, raping girls, and burning books.

They have no caliph. They have only chaos.

VI. Let’s Rewrite the Battle Cry

Let the real Ghazwa be fought against:

Illiteracy, not India.

Corruption, not Kashmir.

Climate catastrophe, not cultural coexistence.

This is not utopia. It is the bare minimum of global citizenship.

As the Quran says: “Corruption has appeared on land and sea because of what men's hands have earned.” (30:41)

Let us not be the generation whose hands birthed more blood than bread.

Conclusion: Not Ghazwa, but Ghazal

The poets of the past — from Rumi to Gibran — did not dream of war. They dreamt of unity, dignity, and love.

Build solar panels, not swords.

Fund schools, not sectarian militias.

Plant forests, not flags of fantasy.
