IS IT STILL WRONG TO PURIFY SHADOW POKÉMON in Pokémon GO?

I want to purify for pvp.
It's shadow form is ranked worst. idk if it's going to pass the cp from removing shadow from great league but no shadow calculator 😬

I got a shadow shiny Kyogre that purified would be a Shundo. I purified it because I caught a shadow hundo Kyogre already

I have a shadow shiny kyogre with 3500 cp,should i purify to reach the 3star or better to leave it like it is? (Because if i do it is 20k dust but it will reach 4000cp)

So I had to very good shadow mewtwos but I purified each one because megas are soon to come so why not have them super ready 😅 also if I waited I could’ve kept my good shadows and just kept raiding whatever good mewtwos come after but honestly I think it’s all about what you want out your game you know everyone entitled to what they wanna do with there shadow Pokemon end of the day

If i got a shadow pokemon that will be a 100% and can mega evolution i will purify

Only like 1% of shadow mons are even worth using the rest are just dex entries

It's as easy as this: if you want to purify, you purify! It's really that simple. People who has to criticize others can mids their own business

I have a question. I have a few Pokemon that I purified but didn’t really know about the vast difference of shadow Pokemon. So my question is, if you do have a purified Pokemon but wished you didn’t purify it, is there any opportunity to reverse it?

I purified a normal Kyogre and Groudon for Hundo’s. I don’t mind, because I still have good shadows of both. Plus, I’ve done 350+ raids of each and had never gotten a hundo. Now both are great for Primal evolutions..

Shadow many times are not the best for PVP especially the Master League.

the advice i give when people ask is "mega > shadow > hundo"

I usually purify for hundos if I don’t plan on using the Pokemon anyway. Some things I keep such as I have a 96 and a 98 shadow Magnezone which I feel are just strong enough for raids to keep shadow. I have a friend who wants to complete his hundo dex so he’ll purify anything for a new hundo and that’s totally fine too. Play how you wanna play!

I purify pokémon that have a mega so I can get the hundo

People know its easier to get shundos via purifying, but if they're hard core players they probably will have enough of which ever shadow legendarys they're raiding anyway

Hi this video came just in time. I have a hundo shadow Kyogre and though I am hesistant purifying it, I will. Why ?

Well, as you mentioned, you'll always take down a raid, as long as your 3, 4 maximum. The game is easy.

Another reason, as for me as a player, is that I am RP. Shadow Pkémons are frustrated and enraged. I want my Pokémons to be happy. Furthermore, as an RP player, I consider you should have at most one of each legendaries I only want one Kyogre, I want it to mega evolve, and I want it to be happy.

Furthermore, when a shadow deals more damage, it is also more frail. Most of the time, the regular form is better in Pvp than its shadow form.

And one more thing you said. Shadow Pokémons cost much more dusts and candies.

For me this enough reasons to purify my shadows. And if you disagree. It's fine ! What is nice about Pokémon Go is that there are different kind of profile of players.

I acquired about 12 Shadow Groudon. 3 shiny, and I purified one of them to make a Shundo. I do not have a primal Groudon yet, so when I get the primal energy, I’ll have a Shundo Primal Groudon. Do I need more than 5 shadow Groudon with high IV?

So the story was that shadow pokemon are in pain due to the shadow process. That's why you are supposed to purify them. If you don't then you are no better than Team Rocket. Honestly, as long as you know what you are doing when you purify it, play however you want. I personally don't care for shadow pokemon, but at most online I will try to educate others as to why or why not they may want to. Its none of my business how you play.

a lot of people in my community are hardcore "never purify" gamers. don't get me wrong they are lovely folks and sometimes they will say "yeah that would be kinda useless compared to other Pokemon, it's better to purify" and I don't think they would ever tell someone not to purify for a shundo. but it does kinda suck to see when that topic comes up, kinda bums me out. our group is big enough to easily take down raids, so it's not that big of a deal. when they're not around you can host via campfire and chances are 5 people is more than enough to win no matter what you use. depending on your situation it may only matter for pvp which some people don't do or care about

I play to collect hundo's and shundos so if purifying it will get me a shundo it will be done. I can always working on a none "perfect" shadow of that pokemon.

If you're in an urban area or with a good enough community, then purify. If you're winning every group raid with hundreds of seconds to spare, it doesn't matter if it's a slightly better raid attacker. We have so much firepower now, might as well go for the hundos. Also it depends on the Pokemon. I'm not going to waste stardust to max out a 91% shadow Vileplume. I don't care if a 0% shadow Vileplume does more damage than a 100% IV Vileplume -- I'm never bringing a Vileplume to a raid in the first place.

Honestly only time I purify for a hundo is if they have a mega that I dont have a hundo or shundo of or it's a pokemon that's useless as a shadow and I can purify for a hundo or shundo, like I purified a shadow groudon after getting a lot of good ones over that shadow raid weekend and of course I waited till I had done all the raids I was gonna do for that weekend and I purified the worst one I got that was in the purifiable hundo range since I didn't have a hundo groudon and the primal hundo is incredibly useful, I did purify a mewtwo to a hundo back when we 1st got it, partial regret but at least I got a hundo for when that mega releases so at least it'll get some use when that does

If you have a second good legendary shadow Pokémon it is totally fine to purify the worse one into a hundo/shundo. Then you can power up both.

If I have ->two good shadows of the same pokemon I'm going to purify one for the hundo! Because it's too expensive stardust wise to max out two duplicate shadows!

Niantic or Scopely forgot to turn on unlimited tour point at the end of the month! Or this is not for this season?

I will never have enough candy and xl candy to level up two legendary shadows so I keep my best as a shadow and purify my second best for hundo if it has a mega/primal option.

I rarely purify shadows, but players are way to rigid about this. I have a handful of purified hundos, I consider purifying anything that's not a raid attacker or a rare collectable (eg. shadow hundos or shinies from grunts), or is much better as a mega (sceptile, abomasnow). Part of me dies when players purify really strong shadows, but to each his own - not going to tell people how to play the game.

It would be nice if a purified was strong against a shadow. Otherwise. Pointless..

When it's a Pokemon that only costs 1000 stardust to purify

Doesn't the lore for shadow pokemon say something about them being in a state of constant agony because of the corruption? That's why I purify my shadow pokemon. They may just be digital creatures, and they can't really feel pain, but the thought of keeping my pokemon in a state of constant agony just for a little bit more dps just feels evil to me. But, I also catch all my pokemon in luxury balls in the mainline games because they make pokemon happier, so I guess I'm just a big softie.
