So even if they haven't found a crime and they are "looking for one" an elected government official should be subjected to occasional investigations such as this. Elected officials have a lot of power, and we the people want to know that they aren't stealing our tax dollars, and are using them the way they stated they would when they ran for office. Even the most well liked and squeaky clean officials should be subjected to investigations. Everyone of us had a job where we are subject to review. This is no different.
