Once again AGAIN these guys that watch the vids but don’t LISTEN are “f’cked” from the get go for not LISTENING to you. If your coming to make buddies WRONG, if your coming thinking a sexy younger woman is going to like you cause you have $ WRONG, if you don’t ride a motorbike or like outdoor activities and think you can hang out a mall everyday to fill your void WRONG, like Chad says look in the mirror! I can’t afford to retire in the U.S OR MEXICO, I can get a hot lady in the USA but I can’t AFFORD $ one. Move to the Philippines cause you love the people, the kindness, the affordable frills (you’ll feel like a King 👑 when you choose too). Come on vacation, come solo, stay in rural area and rent a motorbike 🏍️. If you can’t handle these basics you’re not looking listening to Chad. Forget the other vloggers.

I spent 9 years going back and forth to Thailand from the UK, I was convinced I could have a better life there, however I ended up in the Philippines as I met a Filipinas online so came here met her then home to the uk and sold all my stuff, now have been living in the Philippines a little over 2 years.
Married my Filipina last December and we have just applied for my spouse visa, what you say is true it's not all paradise here, there are many challenges and you need to cross each bridge with positive attitude. For me having a wife that speaks good English is a blessing as not all Filipinas speak English.
But I do have a better life here now I'm retired, my pension supports us both comfortably ,here my pension increases every year ,in Thailand lit would not have.
Two things I do struggle with are jeepneys and tricycles as I'm 6' 2" so getting in and out can be a bit of a problem but still enjoy the ride to a certain extent, that said my wife is a great cook and occasionally I cook western style dishes. Well enjoyed your video so much thankyou 😊

This why I believe the best way is to meet a girl online and get to know her for a few months. Then you have someone to guide you... a destination. Its not for everyone for the reasons you say. I read that 70% of new relationships met online.
More User Perspectives
I would get a condo in BGC and a beach cottage in Barocay. Best of both worlds!
@MoorDragonsomeone should make a video telling the actual truth, showing real world what its like to live in a economically depressed country. There is so so much nonsense spread on social media. Yes you can live on 100 dollars a month, you will live like a gutter rat in poverty. Can you live your same life you had in america, lol no no no.
@llmcoderSaying so much without saying really anything …
Chad, where else in the world have you lived and traveled?
For you to be so content with The Philippines, I can’t help but think you have very limited experience abroad.
Do tell!
You're doing a great job Chad. Keep up the good work. 👍
@mattrodwellI thought this was going to be about bad haircuts…
@steveaustin1984Excellent points. Very well said. Impressive editing. All the cuts were spot on. Appreciate the extra effort.
@themacker894Great video Chad....Many expats arrive in the Philippines carrying unresolved financial, emotional, or family baggage. A particularly common and disruptive factor is an expat’s problematic relationship with their children back home. When these underlying pressures collide with a completely new culture, the transition often fractures rather than heals. Escapism vs. Reality. The Geographic Cure Myth: Many men view the Philippines as an escape, mistakenly believing a new location erases old trauma. Magnified Flaws: The stress of culture shock, language barriers, and heat amplifies existing emotional instability. Codependency Traps: Expats with empty personal lives frequently force their new partners into unsustainable roles as therapists or caretakers.
@tinotino9952The other problem with youtube videos is that they can make you paranoid and too scared.
@edmann1820It's time you guys stop making these same old, same old, same old videos. It was interesting ten or more years ago. Now it's devolved into a cesspool of dudes vying for engagement. Nothing personal, but these videos are soooo overdone. And for the most part, they"'re just opinion pieces or lifestyle branding posing as useful information. Big yawn. I know you're gonna say "if you don't like it you don't have to watch" or "thanks for watching" as if you're the winner. But that's not the point. The point is you guys are flogging what pretty much amounts to a dead horse. There's no originality., no creativity. Just the same old "insert so-and- so's Phillipines adventure".this and that. It's so utterly samey. The whole niche is flat. You can do better, Joe.
@blortmuncherGoodman chad u nailed it yes its amazing place if u have steady income coming in monthly but u need self control my advice to anyone go and try it for fes months but word of warning i lost three friends in the last 15 years because they had addictive issuses they said they change everything would be great in asia sadly they hit skid row i was lucky one came home got my life together now i go for months holiday its great when u know youre limations nice vlog as always mo chara😅😅
@eamonkelly36The clean-shaven look works ✅
@PhoenicianinthePhilippinesWell said.
@Chadly501I've traveled to 101 countries and lived in over 50 of them for 3 months or more on a Non-Stop 17 year trip including the Philippines
Although not very physically attractive Filipina girls are definitely the best girls for long-term relationship. I said it🤷
I would say the Philippines and Thailand because of all of the girl content gets the highest number of inexperienced older travelers. Not only do these guys have very little experience outside of Western countries they also have very little experience with girls as many of them have been married for decades or they simply never have been a ladies man in their life
The failure rate of these guys for relationships and traveling in general is very high. I've seen them calm and I've seen them go over the years most of them don't last
If you take dating out of the equation there would be 0 foreigners in the Philippines. There's absolutely no reason to be there if you're not interested in dating
The Philippines is only cheap if you're bringing dollars or Euros there. Of the 101 countries I've been to the cheapest country of experience on planet Earth is without a doubt the United States. When you factor in income versus expenses there's no cheaper country on planet Earth. Income versus expenses, the Philippines is probably 8 to 10 times more expensive than the United States
I mean it cost $5 to go to the movie theater in the Philippines. A days salary. And all of these are grateful fox in the west like to complain about how expensive they think things are. YOU go pay a day salary to go to the movie theater go pay $300
I have to stop or else I'll just be typing forever because I could go on and on and on about all the negatives of the Philippines and how it's much worse than every other country I've ever been to
I’ve lived in China for many years & have visited Ph many times. The thing that Ph lacks is a spot that combines modern city and high quality beach life. Nha Trang & Da Nang in VN are examples. Lapu-Lapu, Cavite, etc offer lousy beaches & poor infrastructure. Dauin is just so-so beach, good diving, but it’s 1/2 hour from Duma, which has nothing like the level of development vs Da Nang.
@Rockiii9I been here 17yrs , ive seen many leave in less then 5yrs after arriving . Most leave bcoz they get married or health reasons, the rest just couldnt adapt and complained so much they just gave up 😅😂
@crisincebuHey Chad…good topic of thought and discussion. For some reason your thoughts on the matter today, have brought out a years worth of haters 🤷🏻♂️
That said, there is nothing wrong with hearing a topic more than once. And if it is a problem for you, then just click on the next video…problem solved…😂
Hahahahaha... it's not Late Enough in the Eeevvvvnin. Chad, do you have any thought on my thoughts below??
I offer to your community my summary (for myself really) of how to best prepare: (My POV as to What Foreigners Need to do BEFORE they Arrive)
Are You Personally ready? Do you come to the PH with vises or as a broken lonely man with a scarcity mindset (who would put a Filipina on a pedestal and Project perfect character traits before she has demonstrated any behavior).... OR do you have masculine Frame.... do you know what you want, do you have a Vision for what your life will be And a Plan to execute? Will you be evaluating for a Filipina who will fit into Your Life (and make your life easier) OR will you be making Her the center of your life and orbit around her needs/wants.
* Everything in PH is set for a man to succeed if he comes with 1. the necessary finances to fund his lifestyle and 2. the proper frame/mindset to guide his direction/actions to keep himself focused on his Goals, Standards, Values, and Boundaries <<-- You need to clearly define what those are for yourself BEFORE getting into the relationship.
** One bit of advice...... Goooo Slooooww before over-committing either emotionally or financially AND have your own personal financial boundary for how you will address Utang na Loob (everyone has their own personal opinion, be clear on what yours is Beforehand or it can ruin you and your relationship >> Know what Your Position/Approach you are willing to take is and discuss it early in the relationship, especially if she is the eldest daughter).
As Red said: "I find I'm so excited, I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it is the excitement only a free man can feel, a free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend, and shake his hand. I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope." ~ There is good reason to have tremendous hope.... if You are ready.... so, Get busy living, or get busy dying.
And of course Call Heidi if you're gonna get the SRRV, duh.
Peace and Love, B Goat
Same shit over and over!
@BrettPower-p8cIf you build a house with your wife she can take your house right? The phillipines should allow foreigners to build a house they own maybe require a long term visa to do it. I've heard you can lease a plot of land for 99 years and then build a house on the land and basically own it for as long as you live. True?
@theoracle10Chad you make it sound like today's expats need expat support groups to navigate the Philippines. Makes me wonder how I made it depending entirely on my future wife, her family and community. There was no YouTube vloggers, iPhones nor so-called relationship experts nor go betweens. Just old fashioned letter writing, occasional phone calls, Internet cafes and old fashioned research. Guess it's gotten complicated.
@dumaguetedreamingYou should do a really long sit down-Joe Rogan style Q&A with Regular guy.
You two have a lot in common and might come up with some “solutions” to your respective situations.
Good or bad, it would be interesting conversation. Two long time single guys looking for “companionship” in Asia.
Worth noting for anyone who's unaware, you cannot own land in the Philippines and absolutely should not ever buy land in someone else's name. You can leasehold, with a ton of risk, but expect that any money you spend on a house is gone forever the moment you do it. And beware in the extreme about tying it to any woman.
@vincentgray870Where do you fish? I intend to do a lot of it but isn't Dauin a nature preserve relative to fishing? Do you need a license? THANKS !!!!
@greggreen-u9wThe silver lining to going abroad and “failing” is that it can dispel the illusion that it’s one big great party and adventure overseas. It might just make living in your home country feel that much better after seeing the sometimes unglamorous reality of being an expat..
@Partaker2000102,000 subscribers…Damn, your channel has exploded! Congrats.
@BadEinstein1Chad, This is another informative & insightful video. Having an open mind and being able to adapt with everything we do is a huge plus anywhere we go in life.
You are kicking butt on YouTube there were 6 small commercials lol thats awesome. Thanks again for your Philippine life feedback and experiences! Alway great to watch! Greg T
Really good content Chad, reinforces my decision to get over there lol.
@warrennekurak9348Old news.... Every Youtuber has already told everybody.
@kennethd4645I think moving to a new country, I'm one of those guys who would take it slow and acclimate myself in a nice bubble before going galavanting on adventures.
@agentm83Good points Chad, keep them coming brother.
@CaptainRon2It's the guy. If a guy has made a lifetime of poor choices, or certain choices, it's unrealistic to think that will all change by stepping off a plane in some new place.
The guys who made good choices aren't spending their retirement making YouTube videos for money. Begging for subs, Likes, comments (but only flattery), ads, affiliate links, struggling to come up with content that's dramatic even if it has to be made up stories about a friend of a friend that heard a story. Or just have AI generate stories.
So listening to guys having to earn money on YT... best advice? Do like men and end up like me.
yeah i had never traveled before , but loved it when i met my wife there now we live here in PA. but can,t wait to come home to the PH for permanent .
@andyshelly3473To hot, to humid insects and bugs you can't imagine....
@johnbante5594Planning and experience goes a long way in making a person feel comfortable traveling. Watch a few Youtube videos on something you want to do and when you get there it will feel familiar.
@DavidPaschall-pk3ihTerrible advice, Chad. That house you spent money to build is NOT yours. Your Filipina wife owns it all 100% of it and can kick you out for no reason. Never build a house in the Philippines. You own nothing there.
@wildboyQNever trust anyone with black hair, Never buy some thing you cant walk away from Man met his wife's brother who was also her husband,, 7 yrs had a gut full.
@Victim-x2g" Pussy on the brain " is the first problem. Too many influencers promote the Philippines to guys who have failed at everything in their home country.
@NoYouDintking of cliche
