Agreed - Tadej is the strongest. However, mechanicals, crashes, illness, wind, bad tactics and other factors can affect the race. You have to make it to Paris in one piece so I don't understand why people say it's over when there are still two weeks to go.

Jonas beat Tadej twice: sure, but not in the Tadej 2.0 era of him destroying everybody that started in 2024. Also when Tadej lost in 2023, he was coming back from an injury, and wasn't able to prepare perfectly for the Tour. Last year Tadej was suffering from a knee injury in the final week of the Tour, otherwise I truly believe he would've won ~ 8 stages. And this year Tadej is still stronger than his 2025 hautacam performance. Make no mistake, Jonas is not capable of beating Tadej on the bike anymore. His only chance is some heat related incident or a crash.

@robp3431I think that all of those points were great points and then the last one was that Jonas beat today two different times I'd like to play on that word just a little bit. Jonas one two other times and I love Jonas to death as do I do today both. But I think if he went back and both of those times that Jonas won if you could have removed toddy's worst day and put a you know a middle of the road good day for him in there and I'd have to go back to look at the numbers and all that I can't remember that well. But I would say that if we did that seems like maybe there's a good chance that today would have won both of those years too so if we want to embrace that concept we could say that maybe it wasn't Jonas that won both of those years that he won course he won but we might consider the idea that maybe Toddy lost those two days because of his youth and his exuberance which caused him to not manage his matches as well and you know wrote a little bit reckless and that's of course understandable and I don't think we're going to see him doing that kind of stuff anymore for the rest of his career. Maybe other guys have some different ideas on that Yes Jonas was the winner but I wonder if it was poaching cars youth the tip the Jersey towards Jonas in those two years

@pdlngsqrs9547When UAE and Del Toro pulled Pogicar away from Jonas, Jonas had no chance to get back on. I guess he had to make sure Del Toro didn't latch on, but that first few minutes after the break really took it out of Jonas
