Gus had a "proud Dad" moment.
From Season 4, Episode 10: "Salud"
Breaking Bad follows protagonist Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Anna Gunn) and teenage son (RJ Mitte) who has cerebral palsy. White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years left to live. With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to secure his family's financial security, White chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime and ascends to power in the world. The series explores how a fatal diagnosis such as White's releases a typical man from the daily concerns and constraints of normal society and follows his transformation from mild family man to a kingpin of the drug trade.
2:46 The moment even Gus realizes that Jesse has come into his own. He's no longer just Walt's "assistant", or the newest/lowest on the totem pole in Gus's organization. Asserting his place in, and value to, the organization

hello Mr.Sidwell
@deltacojamesReal world note: Phenylacetic acid and its precursors are in fact highly controlled substances precisely because they can be used to make meth and other recreational drugs. Them expecting him to cook without phenylacetic acid would be like them not having methylamine.
@JoelCroteauAt this moment he was the boss a proud student of Walter☠️🔥
@FailurensjwkwkoThis poor cartel chemist gets schooled by Jesse, mocked by Eladio and poisoned by Gus (and he wasn't even one of the dons I don't think), all in the span of one episode.
Talk about having a shitty ass day.
3:07 One of Jesse's most confident lines in the entire show
@Astrale_DuskusGale told gus he had a chance 96% , Jessie did it.
@gleivamit's only 96.2 % because the phenylacetic acid is poor quality!
@VAmissaAnima2:47 Gus’ proud dad moment
@ki6ekiOne of the best scenes
@bboyandyjackEpisode no and season
@nishanthininedunchezhian9224He should've given the same speech to Jack and the crew in their lab lmao
@krees895Gus's micro smirk makes this scene hilarious! He's bursting out of laughter inside but still professional enough to not suppress it. Kinda like Mike.
@buddymckay3486Say wallahi, comprehende?
@FuzzyHeart-l3oI like how they have a Mexican guy with an English accent who speaks Spanish
@Joesocko09この辺からカルテル皆殺しにするまでの流れほんと好き
@ギガントゴリラJust finished my Duolingo Spanish lesson! Time to practice what I've learned. 🇪🇸
@menderesbalkan3970I love how Gus knew it would all go well when Jesse didn't back down and instead took control of the situation himself.
@Mediados"im the guy your boss brought here how it's done"
@TheDarkPassenger099One of my favorite scenes in the entire show 🖤
@DarkzyTheMewwhat iif walt was there?
@sensikatol2855Their Spanish sucks
@FallSichelSchnitt2:26 That badass moment 😮
@abhijitroy4603yo this is Sadiq from Splinter Cell Blacklist ! Wow
@billykg8😂
@MikeSmith-c1c''Continue the joke''
@Originalcopy20His dreadful acting ruins another scene.
@LordJimUSA0:25 least convincing spanish accent ever. The guy's clearly British-Canadian
@Typhoon_LexJesse has his own way of saying b*tch. It is unmatchable
@austincs2shortsNow why the hell would Gus think that Don Eladio The Boss would be a drug deal???
@ThemselveswhyI really love seeing Gus proud of Jesse in this scene. That subtle grin he has as Jesse chews out the chemist is fantastic. It’s full-blown laughter by Gustavo standards.
@cbogg333Am I the only one who finds that Mexican being English weird?
@OJC-zl9yrTaught by the great Heisenberg
@heaven_xJesse didn’t know the ins and outs about real chemistry , he just knew how to follow Walt’s recipe to a tee. But he did a great job deflecting to the “efficiency” issue and using the Blue Sky purity point to get the cartel bosses on his side.
@camlampe7447Jesse is badass
@KamskiS2Jesse was a good guy- but he could turn on the gangsta when necessary
@TeresaThomleyIn another world Gus and Jesse could have dominated the quick service food industry.
@JustinB-n9mI feel like this was the moment Gus gained a lot more respect for Jesse.
@carsorsomethingidkHe amplified Jesse's statements when he said he can speak English
@bigmountain1655this is the moment that Jesse became Jesse 2
@eggbeatzSo this is what Morris did before he got the gig at CTU? Chloe would not be happy about this
@DTplayer1the little smirk that gus gives when jesse berates them for their poor cleaning eithic you can tell hes becoming proud of how jesse is changing
@rangopistacho6928Gus being chatgpt answering the PR way for Jesse🤣🤣
@blindfire765I think that's the closest Gus ever came to a genuine, real smile.
@notsosure5949Jesse doesn’t know the theory (which actually is stuff 2nd year chem students would, because I now know), but his lab experience and competency is world class from working with Walt.
