Ironically the truth to the story happened when they started to make fentanyl impossible to get because they cracked down so hard on it that more dangerous drugs were put in the supply and it got to a point where it is now if they would have just kept the flow of heroin like it was for the past hundred years everything would have been fine. First they came after the pharmaceuticals, and then they came after the heroin and then it switched to Fentanyl and when that wasn't enough to feds took away that too and now we have cities like Kensington where people just can't get it together because they're not even doing fentanyl they're doing all these research chemicals in Chinese industrial chemicals and psych meds. Give citizens clean access to drugs in the equipment to use them and you will see healing and the ones that want to stay getting high will do so and it will shrink down to a such a small group of people that they will eventually just go away because nobody will risk life and limb to ship fentanyl or dangerous drugs and when you can get better stuff from facilities within the United States. But they will never do that they need the War on Drugs they don't care what drug it is as long as there's a war against it

There was a street, many years ago, called The Bowery. It ran about 15 blocks long. It was inhabited by hardcore 😢alcoholics. I was captivated by the scene 😮when i was a little girl. When i grew older i lived a block away from the street of no return. I saw a man die in front of me. It was the saddest place i ever saw. Then came Kensington.
