I feel like this should've been clarified a long time ago.
1: this isnt a rip-off of Harvey (Rest their soul, even tho i havent been a long time fan, <listening since 2024>) the her's fans need to realize that, just because theyre gone doesnt mean you should guilt trip people who start using -- coincidentally or not-- the same melody, chord and/or beats.
2: Harvey ISNT the first to use this AS FAR as i know.
Sweetbird by Young Hunting is by far the oldest ive found w a beat like this and whats funny i used to listen to this artist mid 2020 when doing homework
TV Girl's Lovers Rock, although you cant hear it clearly it also uses the melody abit on in the song.
And also Voicemail by Ded reception (i dont got much info on this one since ive just heard it now)
Just Because a song has similar beats, melodies or chords DOES not mean its plagiarism or copying, its called interpolation and Inspiration. If LNDH DID want to rip it off her's then it wouldve been 60% of the beat.
Secondly. ALL these songs have different meanings lyrically but have the same beats and melodies to hit their respective genres and fanbase or listeners (which im just gonna say, they all fit bedroomcore for sum reason).
