Brunson’s Dad was an NBA player who trained him at a high level from an early age. There’s video of some of their practice sessions, they were tough and he demanded a high level of skill, consistency and repetition from his son at an early age. Very few (if any other) kids get professional training like that all through childhood. That’s probably why he is so good.

I don’t think Jordan is capable of giving real admiration to great young players like LeBron and Nash are doing in this conversation — or he would be online doing it like they are. The Jordan era was about the top players in the game mostly looking out for number 1 on and off the court.
