LeBron is chasing a ring, and it's okay 🤷♂️ - Perk's response to Rich Paul's comments | First Take
Video Overview & Insights
The First Take crew discusses LeBron James' NBA future following agent Rich Paul's comments about ring chasing.
LeBron is ring chasing. He wants 6 rings badly, probably would take 5. The ghost of MJ will continue to have LeBron trying to change public perception of the goat well past LeBron‘s playing career.
I can’t wait for LeBron‘s “El último baile” biopic documentary to air on Netflix in the next 15 years.

Lebron must have taken Big Perk off of the payroll because at one point Big Perk was a "Yes man" to everything LeBron camp did or said.

He has to say that to back up the Ring Culture comment LeBron said. Dude is LeBron agent/puppet

I think when you say chasing ring that means the championship is the priority. Rich Paul said they want to be contender but to act like he doesn’t want to be better and have a great season whether it accolades or individual award would be crazy. But I think it’s unfair to put ring chasing attached to his decision making

If you are not playing to win a championship then whats the point?
@ronney2aHe waiting on kyrie to get traded for harden.
@munsyhenderson1946Stop the cap..no team wants him..
@Hooddeputy1Since of this
@BambaYagasomeone explain to me. why is nobody even considering San Antonio? wouldnt that be the closest to a garunteed ring
@jarvis4387If it hasn’t been clear about LeBron his whole career it’s all about LeBron he knows ain’t no team making a move until he signs and he is dragging it out he knows where he wants to play but he loves the attention and for that reason he is trash basketball wise I don’t know him personally
@Oak4lifeI know a girl's middle school team where he'd be a good fit!🤣🤣 He must be teaching flopping to Marina Mabrey now. Sick of him! Go away and shut up! Calling YOURSELF the G.O.A.T.! Karma's a bit**! Latrell Sprewell jr.
@Davidalston8926Basketball isnt a sport no moe its entertainment like wrestling......when pplz start to accept that we wldnt half of dese debates
@themessenger1984lebron james triggered by the Knicks....
@calvinmason1321These cats Vinny and that other scrub are morons and don’t know basketball .. Philly get LeBron they definitely comin out the east barring injuries & health
@bleezogottidagodLeBron definitely chasing a ring but he wants to be part of a team that has the best asset to make his life easier but at the same time where he can make a big impact. Because he knows that if he joins teams like the spurs, thunder, or knicks; teams that are already established and championship rdy, the media will crucify him for coasting to a championship. That's why he is taking his time with teams that are a piece away to be championship rdy like Miami, philly, and Cleveland. LeBron always like to control the narrative that's for sure lmao. He ain't dumb, if he returned for a last dance to not be competitive, then he would have already picked one of them lower tier teams 😂😂
@Spacecivernetic2550KP is possibly the worst and hardest to listen to analysts I’ve ever come across, I tried, I cannot listen to him talk it’s horrific
@nicholasgillen5297Lebron it’s time to experience the city of brotherly love. Cmon man!
@Gripped-ig3otLeBron, you really want to be remembered as the greatest all-around player in NBA history?🤨
Then end your career with the Cleveland Cavaliers and bring Bronny with you.🤨
Even if the Cavs don't win it all, thankfully, without the help of a 'bubble' and COVID, during your regular season farewell tour, fans in arenas all across the nation are going to give you the applause, the standing ovations, that you KNOW🤨 you want and feel you have earned!
You're not going to get that in Golden St., Philly, New York, San Antonio, OKC, or anywhere else!
You're only going to look like a fish out of water 'chasin' another ring'! 🫢
Ain't no place like home!
Ain't no place like....'tha' crib'.😶
4REAL
Dude is 41, there is no other reason for him to play, of course he at least wants to get to Duncan and Kobe with 5... Let the 3 year chase begin, I wouldn't be surprised if he plays for a few more teams on the way out... 😂
@williamb5388It's like Kendrick Perkins said:
He already know what he's gonna do:
'He comin' to 'tha' crib'.🙄😁
And that's the only logical way to end it.
LeBron need to hurry got the whole world waiting
@DealanReed-br9qvguys listen lebron is not chasing a ring but he only wants to be on teams that are championship contenders hahaha
@Edj-wl2wkLebron clearance sale n no one is buying 😂
@SilentMovements305If it’s not ring chasing why leave your son???? He chasing a ring in which I don’t think he not going to get
@frankiebaby532How is ring chasing a negative though. You play the game to win
@quentincassell840No championship team wants LeBron😊
@DrLesBarrett-k3y8kHonestly I think LeBron spoke with Steph and dray and they about to all retire at the same time
@mubarak.maalikI just thout about it Perk is correct with this one LeBron in Philly will be the best fit for the NBA
@limg8036People have tried to convince people that wanting to win the whole reason you play this game is a problem. Every time Lebron 'ring chased', he was a free agent. He's allowed to go and find a team that gives him the best chance to win the ultimate goal. Its just a dumb argument
@stealthfatalThere is no way you saw what Brunson did and said "ah I don't need one" the whole league went Avengers Doomsday 😂
@showdonzGetting as many rings as Kobe matters this guys dumb
@datnigasteveAm I tripping when I say Embid hasn't shown us ANYTHING that tells us he will last whole season nor go deep in the playoffs?
@alexanderallende8714Everybody is ring Chasing! Everybody is tryna win multiple chips. If not.. why are you even playing?? Yall be sounding stupid af
@MoneyMitch365LeBron is chasing a ring and a ghost. He definitely too late to chase Jordan’s six championships by now. But he will be trying to at least equal the number of championships of his old nemesis, the late great Kobe Bryant. He will do that in hopes that it’s gonna change the perspective of how the Laker Nations will look at him compared to how they revered Kobe, who stayed through good and tough times with the Lakers and the Lakers only for 20 years. But even if LeBron does that, Kobe has two jerseys up in the Lakers rafters. That means LeBron is just chasing a ghost 😂
@jorgedanielrodriguez5455Get them big perk
@robertgoode1414Did he say LeBron cant guard KAT smh
@jamondjones2709Perk he don't wanna go 2 Cleveland just stop
@jamondjones2709IM SO SICK OF PEOPLE SAYING LEBRON AND CHAMPIONSHIP IN THE SAME SENTENCE! HOW LONG ITS BEN SINCE DUDE WON ANYTHING MEANINGFUL DUDE HOP FROM TEAM TO TEAM ALL THEM FINALS AND HE ANT CAUGHT UP YET!! JUST RETIRE HE HURTING THE LEAGUE

@anthonycal9071Officially Lebron has 3 RINGS!!
@Perfection212Will he has been chasing rings since he moved from one team to another!!
@Perfection212Vinny: Perk Perk, Lebron loves being the topic of conversation. He loves when we talk about him on ESPN. 😂
@lwj24We know it’s 🧢
But, if he still chasin rings, then he ain’t catch the goat…
I didn't watch vid, thank god there is ads for once, listen..we don't care..guy should retire. Move on, GO AWAY!!!
@DrMaximilliAnarturoHe’s still chasing the NBA GOAT because Larry Bird, ( to me ), is currently the real NBA GOAT. 🐐. A major reason why I say that is because Larry was so consistently good throughout his NBA career. He’s also the most consistent. Just because you’re one of those doesn’t necessarily make you the other as well. He also won 3 NBA Finals, was elite at offense and defense, was a great passer, is underrated at passing and although obviously made mistakes, didn’t make that many for how good he was.
