so much for that generation 10 pokemon in 2026. We are getting mostly nothing for this year for the 30th anniversary. Just some crumbs. Ironically the love given by Arlo about how good Gen 10 looks is because it was non-game footage run on a powerful PC, not actual game footage run on a Switch 2, so we will see.

- An actual release for the new Professor Layton
- A Zelda remake (e.g. Oracle of Ages / Seasons)
- A new StarFox
- A new Wario platformer
- A left-field announcement for a legacy franchise comeback (e.g. Ice Climbers)

It's going to be really funny looking back at those Metascore predictions...I'm especially amused at putting Rhythm Heaven at a 72. It's genuinely their most consistent series in terms of reception, in the sense that all 3 games released outside of Japan have Metascores of 83. I have much higher hopes for the next Fire Emblem, Arlo. With Three Houses and Engage taking the series in two very different directions, I really want to believe that Fortune's Weave will combine the best parts of both: an in-depth story and nuanced characters AND excellent, customizable tactical gameplay. Time will tell.

My predictions:

- NewAce Attorney. Athena is the focused character.
- New Xenoblade title.
- Splatoon 4 teaser, coming next year.
- New Mario 3D game teaser, maybe releases end of year.
- Announcement of Mario Kart World DLC. Will come in waves, similar timeline of 8's, likely with less maps as they wont be recycling from tour.
- pokemon breeze and hellos (gen 10)
- New Smash Bro teaser.
- New Animal Crossing Teaser.

- Switch 2 sales will plateau. Anyone who wanted a switch 2 will have gotten one and there hasnt been a real reason to get it over switch 1.

I am not the most plugged in with this stuff, but didn't only a portion of the Mario odyssey dev team work on DK bananza? I feel like Mario odyssey getting the long rumored DLC branded as a SW2 edition would be likely given that a full 3D Mario seems unlikely bc of Bananza. Follows trend with the big IPs from switch only getting SW2 editions (Zelda, AC)

Arlo having more enthusiasm and hope for Elebits than fire emblem was something I did not expect.

But I really hope HAL and Nintendo can give us a Kirby Triple Deluxe + Kirby Planet Robobot pack remake or re-release for Switch and Switch 2 with new modes for both Taranza and Susie Haltmann as well as bringing back all the extra modes like Dedede Tour, Meta Knightmare, Dedede Drum Dash, Kirby Fighters + Deluxe, Team Kirby Clash, Kirby 3D Rumble, and Kirby's Blowout Blast. And also Amiibos for both Taranza and Susie Haltmann now that would be cool to see HAL and Nintendo to do. But this could be next year in 2026 in the February Nintendo Direct. And also if we get both Epilogue Modes for Taranza and Susie Haltmann just like how they did with Magolor in Magolor Epilogue I think Taranza's Epilogue Mode would be like Taranza going to the Mirror realm to save Sectonia but then he has to fight against Dark Taranza and King D Mind in order to get out of the Mirror realm with Sectonia being along side with him and also they would use his moveset from Kirby Star Allies like that would be cool.



And for Susie Haltmann's Epilogue I think we could see Susie finding Kirby's Robobot Armor and bringing it back to Kirby after the events with Star Dream. Maybe she uses it in her adventure to stop something big that's around her home planet. Then she brings it back to Kirby and becomes Kirby's ally. Or they can do Susie visiting her home planet, Planet Haltmann, and stop President Haltmann's evil projects he made around Susie's home planet trying to save the people like defending them from these savages. Or they can have Susie help fix what President Haltmann has made in her home planet and maybe stop Star Dream once again. Maybe President Haltmann would return to see Susie again since he was corrupted by Star Dream and Susie would help to save him that would be a cool idea they can do for Susie's Epilogue and also maybe they can show us what Susie’s Mother looks like since she has her father but what about her mother that’s what I want to know. Or they can have Parallel Susie coming back to stop her original self and then having a Parallel version of Star Dream and a Parallel Version of President Haltmann and then Susie would try to convince her father and then hug him and then he would be sorry for leaving Susie in another dimension and then help Susie to stop Parallel Susie for taking over the universe with Parallel Star Dream. And also they can add Susie’s full moveset from Guest Star Mode in Kirby Star Allies as well so yeah I hope Nintendo and HAL do Epilogue Modes for both Taranza and Susie Haltmann for both Kirby Triple Deluxe and Kirby Planet Robobot I would love for that to happen.

Interesting, no comment on Zelda's 40th anniversary? I figure that's where we'll get the first proper movie trailer. Also, FINALLY, a Switch release of Wind Waker/Twilight Princess HD in a Mario Galaxy 1/2 combo but available separately through the eShop. It'll be a Switch 1 release (so Switch 1 owners will get access to the games with GameCube Nintendo Classics being exclusive to Switch 2), and it'll be sold to Switch 2 owners to have the superior HD versions of both games w/added functionality, with the added bonus of enhanced resolution. Also, Wind Waker HD will have the Tingle Tuner return, this time unlocked via a new Tingle Amiibo...yes I know we all love Amiibo-locked features but Nintendo ain't stopping anytime soon.

I predict FFXIV will release on Switch 2 this year, and that I will buy it even though I already own it on PS and PC. Shocker, I know!

For my unbelievable predictions: some of our beloved 3D N64 games will get remasters, either releasing or announced this year. Mario 64, DK 64, and yes, EVEN BANJO-KAZOOI AND TOOIE (I know, right?)
