Live at Massey Hall: Geddy Lee
Video Overview & Insights
Geddy Lee brings to life his memoir My Effin’ Life. Reflecting on his family, childhood and history of @rush; from the determined pursuit of music, to memories with his life-long friends and bandmates.
I so absolutely love these two in exit stage left during xanadu when they're bouncing off each other back to back playing incredible music and smiling like it was so enjoyable. Truly inspiring that the complexity of what they were playing and they made it look so easy and it's obvious they're having a great time. Great stuff.

I couldn't be happier that these two are having the time of their lives on the 50 Something tour. They really earned it.

Alex is the funniest human I’ve ever had the pleasure to hear as an interviewer. I never realized his speaking voice was so mellifluous❤.

It's really interesting to rewatch this now, seeing Rush 3.0,. Neil, Geddy, and Alex were Rush and will always be "Rush". But it's so cool to see, ten years later after the 2015 tour, they have a second life, and it's amazing. I really hope that they continue to enjoy it and share this incredible music with the world. Anika adds so much joy and musicality to the group - couldn't be happier for them.

We are here from the future and these boys are having a blast playing in the hottest tour in the world (again) thx to an incredibly talented Anika Niles. A beautiful honoring of what they all built and created together. Neil likely had something to do with it from above. 😊❤
@smoofollowingqalroundthewo206Just realized that Rush fans actually read a lot, so for Peart and Lee to write many books is not the worst idea. Alex, you're next... you have a built-in audience.... just saying.
@PureJadeKidSome times lies are the right thing too do and I hate lying but this was understandable people dying and your dream being smashed you guys were married to each other like a body part. I’m so glad you guys found away to stay together it’s as though God had a plan and it included working together with the new Drummer it pulled me in and I’m not your Biggest fan but for some reason now I am now Johnny come lately I. One of those guys RUSH! Oh I know Tom Sayer and Working Man there pretty Good I love comeback Story’s
@charmcrackermusic4250Does anyone else feel there's a sort of spooky prescience with the doll sitting between Alex and Geddy?

@Jason-p5cSo many bands played at Massey Hall. Rush was one that became a legend to us growing up. ✌️
@dbireland2003The story being told here reinforces what Rush fans have long believed: There Is No Other Rock Band Like Rush. The lack of internal fighting, lack of litigation between them, the mutual respect and LOVE between them, the purity of musical cohesion, and the quality of their music, the lyrical intellect, all taken together shows them as unusually rare in the top level of the music business.
Their importance to me is a story that is more common. At the age of 15 in 1976, I met the new Ruch album 2112 in a very memorable way. Over the following 6 years, I grew up from a teen to an adult with every new Rush album as a primary component of my soundtrack. Experiencing them live in concert several dozen times. The challenging musical forms, and the righteous lyrics highlighting what's right, and what's wrong. Coming to know the Hemispheres waging battles in my head, sailing into destiny Closer To The Heart. My heart will always be close to Rush. RIP NP! ❤
Can we give them a talk show? Priceless.
@TELEMARKETINGMICDROPSI never hear Geddy laugh the way he does with Alex. It’s his genuine laugh, which makes me laugh as well. I love the bonds between these two.
@SanDiegoNico“To choose loyalty over Honesty!”… that statement alone shows you who these guys are really all about!!
@RonHiegelsbergerIf you haven’t yet, check out Rick Beato’s recent interviews with these gents.
@Krazed_KanuckI felt Neil’s death as much as Gord Downey’s. Both very sad days for Canadians. Love you guys.
@Krazed_KanuckAlex cleanses his soul on the golf course, 5 hours outside will do that....

@vandalorianvandalorian4769I could listen to these guys for hours
@ViaFerrataCHWe are fans not only for their amazing music but for themselves, their humanity & humility as well. Good things come in threes.
@kevincummings632They just make you happy. good guys
@cathyquinn1Before watching this I was really on the fence about them playing RUSH music with another drummer let alone a female drummer at that. After seeing this I realize that these guys need to play their music that they’ve spent a lifetime creating. It’s in every fiber of their being. They want to play music so bad because that has been their life. So I say bring it on. I want to see these guys play again and they need to see us all again! I just bought 2 tickets for my wife and I for the November concert in Greensboro NC. I can’t wait!!
@apieceofdirt4681I love these guys! And I'm so happy to see them on stage again soon.
@luddyvdLife ends, but Rush does not. Rush goes on forever. I learned my first Rush song in 1979, and I'm still trying to play it correctly.
@carlstockmalLove that wonderful Canadian trio,known as Rush ! There's a nice video on YT,somewhere,of a young Alex Lifeson,with high school friends,living in a communal setting,in rural Canada ! Well worth searching for,and viewing. 😁🤪🤓💥👍👄
@EdwardCOLLINS-z5nLerxst must write his book😅
@grantfreeman-y1oAt Long and McQuade in Toronto and buy a Les Paul for Alex and a Rickenbacker for Geddy.....absolutely awesome!
@johnguglielmo1629RUSH sounds and lyrics are more relevant then ever before...
The Best Band in the Galaxy .
Effin' Wonderful! Thank you. My first time seeing Rush was at my North York high school in 1973, when John was drumming. Since that awesome day, I saw them another seven times. Every moment in their presence, a dream came true.
@squabby3Love these guys, so genuinely funny and likeable! 💘
@maxpowersoderholm3476Awe Letxstie ❤😮😅😊
@flybynightgirlWhat's that little musical piece at the end with Geddy singing? Where can I find the whole track?
