Melissa Casias: NEW EVIDENCE FOUND AT THE SCENE OF REMAINS

Video Overview & Insights

In this video, we break down newly revealed details about the items recovered near Melissa's remains: including shredded handwritten papers, multiple articles of clothing, wrappers, an orange peel, and additional bones, according to their attorney David. Notably, these items were not discovered by the New Mexico State Police, but by a private search-and-rescue team hired by members of the Casias family....breaking down what we know.

What the hell would anyone take a curling iron out with them to the middle of the woods for??

This sounds like very sloppy LE investigation.

We might "not know" anything, but we naturally "speculate" ..., This stinks of "planted evidence" ..... Don't you agree ...???

So then how did the hiker find her? How far from the trail? What were they doing? More info on that, please.

I'm glad you are looking into this and looking for inadequacies in the investigation. I don't especially think the overall supposed 'missing scientist case' will turn out to be as big as the media hype would suggest, but what happened to Ms Casias is certainly worth resolving correctly all on its own.

Good for the sister.

Gosh. It really makes one wonder, what Melissa knew. Would be interesting to try to see if she left any journals or notes, if she had any fears of any kind with regards to her line of work.

@organicrecreations1338
@

Maybe she was going to meet someone and go with them somewhere over night and took the curling iron?

@alanheadrick7997

God they’re so sus…(the sister and fam)

@alyssamonkey714

I hope that they processed some of that evidence for themselves.

Has anyone reported if the gun was fired or not.???

What's the mental history of Melissa? I think this could be a case of a depressed person, or someone suffering from guilt in their personal life. If true regarding the shredded paper, then it was likely a suicide note. Sadly, in my opinion, this is a self dispatch...

Reports,

Once the public starts to wonder if it is safe Anywhere, soon, the missing smarties will morph magically into crazy terrorist cartel members that had to be targeted by our highly paid aliens allies, The TALL VIOLETS.
Or it may have been the Navy Rooster's.

It all totally low info isn't it. Hand gun near, near, what, how near , how old, rusted, muzzle stink ??? Nuttin. We live in a low info age, strangely.

Wondering, Is there a single woman that hasn't disappeared??? Doubt it.

The curling iron was reported day 1 this reporter is a year late

Thank you for the update. IMO LE investigations today are a joke in terms of thoroughness. And, unless something is blatantly obvious at a scene suggesting foul play, their mindsets from the get go are "suicide" or "no foul play suspected." New Mexico LE does not want to investigate the two young girls allegedly buried on JE's ranch so what do you expect. I had heard that allegedly Melissa and her husband had a tremendous amount of debt. Prayers for Melissa's family and may she R.I.P.

Local; watching and waiting for OME report. I didn't know she was involved in domestic abuse advocacy, and that would seem to add to the list of suspects! I do know the Carson National Forest is used for dumping bodies, among other things...

NMSP are a good bunch overall, with several excellent investigators, and given sufficient time and resources, they will solve this case.
As always, my heart goes out to this family and all others grieving loss of loved ones.

Thanks for reporting; keep up the good work!

Brilliant work, thank you! I sooooo feel for Melissa's family and what they must've been through. Hopefully the truth will out. It's difficult to know what the police must've been thinking when they initially investigated the scene, but I'll bet you're right – they probably drew some hasty conclusions and chose to put it to bed. Great stuff, cheers!

Why would you shoot this video before reading the police reports report¿

@Ravishing-1

If you want to see how state poice, and judiciary on purpouse do not investigate or kill off 3rd party investigations or go after false parties.. see "Oklahoma Children Campers Murdered in 1970's". FOX has a payt per view ap special covering this really good job,

I’d like to get to the bottom 🤔

Was the backpack, meds, toothbrush and curling iron found at the scene???? If not/ she was placed there.

@user-ow1jy4qy6l

How in the hell did law enforcement overlook all this? Cover up? Whatever the case, I'd be afraid to hand over that evidence to the same people that screwed the pooch.... What a junk show?!

@caleyzeek4773
@

Was DNA found on the orange peal? That's how they caught the guy on Long Island.

@Howard-bj1jq
@

Bones? "Were we supposed to look out for bones?"

@BoltRM
@

The NMSP were too incompetent to recover all the evidence, what gives anyone confidence they won't lose or accidentally throw away the evidence handed to them at this point? This is like trusting a bunch of clowns to do brain surgery. 🤦‍♂🤦‍♂🫨

@InterWebGuy99
@

Unfortunately these days how do we know that we can trust the reports being true.

@lindadrake8372
@

I believe she and Mc Casland were both picked up by someone

@lindadrake8372
@

As someone who lives in this area it sadly makes perfect sense to me the authorities didn't "find" anything...a lot of small town skullduggery in law enforcement here, families here for generations who get their other family and friends in the system to cover up for them.

@amybowman9906
@

I guess Gen. McCasland is completely lost? No further information? I guess Melissa may have self destructed. Perhaps foul play? How would a relationship devolve into murder? The General left on his own, when they find his body, perhaps the same scenario will unfold. I appreciate this coverage; I think this Los Angeles Magazine reporter has a great career ahead of her.

@tomnps1671

Yhe thing that makes all these dead/missing persons suspicious is the sloppy and resistant investigations by law enforcement.

@marisameans9859
@

Was a bullet also found as in a spirit session Melissa’s soul said the bullet hit rocks behind her off when it went through her mouth and out the back of her neck only scratching a bone. But the bullet landed in the bushes!

@Aangel452
@

We will never have the full story. No authority wants or cares to know what happened or cares to pursue justice. Smh. Prayers for her family.

@paintediva
@

This is not suicide , to me I’m sorry for the family for speculating but this sounds more and more like an attack , this feels more and more like a message being sent to other scientists don’t talk about your work.

@stga-60

Melissa's family had already expressed surprise that the body was found where it was, despite it being extensively searched at the time of the disappearance. The fact that forensics had not clean swept this area after it was found is astounding

@PopularesVox
@

I'm finding it hard to believe that State Police would miss evidence or leave behind evidence and then the evidence is conveniently found by her sister and whoever was with her sister. Something fishy going on here.

@billb52302
@

If those skeletal remains had no clothes on and were close by then I suspect a SA type criminal activity. I hope the clothes are tested not just for DNA but also other fluids 😔

@NeuroVX

FBI/l = Corrupt

Half of the police force is also corrupt. Do you know that a high percentage of police are Freemasons? Their allegiance is to each other not to America or Americans. Read their oath.

Look at the Charlie Kirk case and all the levels of government and society involved. (Police, hospital/doctor/medical examiner, lawyers, judge, security, university, office of Donald J. TRUMP, etc).

The cover up spans all of these departments.

My point —you can't trust anyone, including the police. Sorry, but there are some good police, but to assume that everyone is actually interested in doing the right thing and helping is absolutely false, and naive for anyone to make this assumption.

Look at history if you think I'm a fool.

I really enjoy listening to your reporting. You are very thorough in your investigations.😅❤❤🎉

Still need an explanation of the vIdeo of her walking alone along the highway with a backpack. Doesn't me she wasn't later met/abducted, but does lend credence to he leaving on her own.

@smitch1558

That is a strange thing, curling iron ❓,what real significance does it really have ❓, a red herring ❓

@WadeRaney-vv5oi
@

Well... I just hope it's not a serial killer acting there, Lauren... Because the scene is starting to sound like that...

@MCsCreations
@

A curling iron? why would anyone take curling tongs for your hair on a trip to end themselves???? make it make sense ???

@JustJo1973

Can they trace the handgun serial number to find out its purchase history? What happened to the curling iron?

The husband is the most likely perpetrator.
