To me personally this is an overrated movie about an overrated concept. Advanced analytics has screwed over teams as much as it’s helped them

An island of misfit toys, like Barry Zito, Tim Hudson, Mark Mulder, Miguel Tejada, Eric Chavez, and Jermaine Dye. Just a bunch of misfits who nobody else would see the value in.

As someone who's from a country where baseball never made it as a sport, and as someone who never cared for economics and statistics, I watched this convinced I was going to be bored out of my mind, but decided to give it a chance anyway.

It made me emotional. This is a profoundely human movie, and everyone involved should be proud of themselves.

This scene gives me some of the biggest chills up there with some of the greatest movies ever. Truly a great movie.

The irony of this whole concept, based on a fictional premise where they leave out the starting rotation, is that nowadays, nobody gets on base.

I’ll sub on this scene alone. That movie is top 10 ever I swear.

The music and score was done so incredibly well in this film. Without it, this scene would’ve been pretty boring and just seems like you’re watching a business meeting. But the music gives this calming, uplifting feeling to you as you watch it. It’s a great pick me up movie, like no matter how much the odds may be stacked against you, you can always find success.

That's unbelievable the old adage never lie just comes through in these scenes and he literally lies right there but then he tells the truth which is another old adage always tell the truth and Billy sees this he sees right there he can now trust this guy with everything. Not because that guy is perfect but because the guy made a mistake and wanted to correct it right there right in front of Billy and let Billy know.

The movies shows who is the brain behind everything and then proceeds to show the coach who simply hired him as the main character and some type of goat despite not winnign any trophy.

I love this movie because it shows that when you quantify and build based on data, you will succeed and hard. And it will almost always be an uphill struggle against the egos of charismatic and intelligent and powerful people.
