I'm looking to move out after struggling in my parents house, I just can't take living here anymore. But because of my anxiety of change, moving, and not really knowing a lot about the process, I've pushed it off for a few years now. Watching this has really helped with answering some of my questions/concerns along with helping to prepare me for what I'll need/expect!!!

I came upon this video as I am searching for apartments as I have a month to get out of my parents house (mom has kicked me out) and I am essentially alone. I have no car and am still working but it just hurts so bad..there is so much anxiety and what I need to do without much guidance. Figuring out what my budget is because I just started a second/third job that is low wage but check includes gratuity and tips so I have yet to check that… and one thing I must bring with me is my pet ferret so I have to search for pet friendly apartments. Another thing is wondering what she’ll allow me to take or not (which I have a feeling the mattress is not included, not any suitcases to help with my load)

As a 23 yr old, single, barberess who makes a decent enough living while in my parents house, moving out in this economy, is not for the weak. I’m in between jobs, borrowed from cash advance apps (ik, i’m a dumbass lmao) but my next paycheck is gonna be my first REAL paycheck. It is a struggle out here and it is 100% ok to struggle and not have it all figured out by 20-25. If your like me and your the biggest critic to yourself, just remember that all those couples you see on facebook who are moved out in the fancy apartment and your younger brother and sister-in-law are about to buy a house and your older than them and YOU feel like your failing because your still in your parents house, stop. Stop that right now. You’re working on one income, hunny. Those people and your younger brother are working on two and it doesn’t mean they don’t struggle. They have bad months just like us. Recognizing that makes being broke a little less defeating, a little less traumatizing lol. I need to take this advice too, trust me but we all need to be a little bit nicer to ourselves ❤ If you can move out by yourself in this economy and stay moved out, that is an accomplishment and you should celebrate that. Congratulations, i’m serious. You defeated the system! 🫶🏻🫶🏻

@Lilangelmp3too all the people here watching, i have lived almost a year alone which of 3-4 months i was alone alone, i have now 2 cats, get animals or a companion, because i was so sad and alone here i even cried on some evenings, because you have no one outside your work for a bit, still dont, but youll feel like abandoned. im going to move again to germany, from latvia. and i am excited and terrified but thats ok, its our first time living. enjoy the space tho
@Angel_VikI'm moving on the 30th
@andreaevans1428You know I'm getting the merge to move one day so I made my self an online psychic business where I do prayer jars for people called Medium Holistic Psychic which my 2 cats and I run. So essentially I can move anywhere because it's an online business.
@rosalindvacaIm having anxiety over possibly being homesick and its worse because of how codependent and shit my parents are towards me like im the only thing holding this home together rn😭
@Marie_2017My name is Charlotte and knowing your cats name is Charlotte made me feel like I was definitely meant to watch your video!

@danibz0802Is $53k+ enough to move out with?
@PoeverThis was really helpful im moving out in a week to a new town and still trying to get it all figured out. This video helps me calm down and just take it one thing at a time. Thank u soo much 😊
@ShadetreebroncojoeHow on earth could my rent only be 30% of my monthly income? I am a student who works 20%. I can’t work more. And I want to move into the city to not have a 1.3h drive every morning and night.
The average rent for a room (flat share) is around 900-1000.
If I move out That’ll be around 60% of my monthly income…
Guess I’m never moving out 🥲
I wanna be independent nowadays. I want more after watching the video. I agree with that a cat brings us how much loves it brings us because I have taken care of one dog. I have not felt missing out because of my puppy.
@운전병-t2dIm currently 15 going to 16 in august and idk why im stressing about adulthood and moving out rn but I am. This video gave me a pretty good preview on what I should be expecting and I am eternally grateful to you for that. Thank you 💗

Nobody teaches you this in school, college, ect...
I'm asking my friends for advice, but this type of videos is what I needed
I can’t stress enough how important it is to save up a years rent + a little more for deposits/admin fees
@CuriousMuse2224I'm planning to move out next year
@tyhik9338Thank you Hannah, I liked how you gave reasons why a cat added value to your life and added how anxiety can affect moving out especially when assessing how ready you are in moving out.
@venhochen3850monthly rent!? in my country its weekly!! and around my area its up to like $850 per week 😭
@DollysSpaceI’m moving out soon I’m excited
@anna1852This is a great video! I do just want to say that there are times in life when you have the oppurtunity to consider doing something, but that doesn't always mean you are ready. It has been really important for me to learn how to consider/ process my feelings seperatly from the physical state of a situation. Different things work for different people so I just wanted to add another perspective to the "how do you know you are ready" section of the video in case it is helpful for someone:)
