Formed in Orlando, FL, the boy band consisted of JC Chasez, Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick. The group was one of the most successful bands of the teen pop era, with three studio albums and selling over 70 million records. In 2002, the group disbanded while members went on to their own solo projects.

Their third and final studio album, Celebrity was the band's second album to debut at #1, selling 1.8 million copies in its first week. Celebrity became the band's fourth top ten album and fourth multi-platinum album in the USA. Three singles were released.

Released as the lead single from the album, Pop peaked at #19 in the US and #9 in the UK. It won multiple VMAs and a Teen Choice Award.
