I know its not her style but she could win many surprise points with this strategy, its a mistake not to incorporate at least some drop shots in her game. With regard to Frech, her strategy was to hit the ball back to Naomi deep in the court and hope that Naomi misses.

Osaka’s main challenge is the inability to close out sets! She still needs to work on her mental strength. It’s never been an issue with her strokes, her fitness perhaps but mostly it’s the mental game.

I always knew her not playing well on clay and grass was all in her head. I'm glad she's past that.
