Nascar has made it ok to watch million dollar cars wreck like toys. Racing for points and that's it. Rippes off the founders. Not wrecking the car is the real win.

I will say after watching this regarding Brent Crews, it does look like he missed a shift. You can see he shifts to second and pull his hand straight back, but when he switched to 3rd, his hand is in a different position and pushed the shifter forward (which would be 3rd in O'rielly) before quickly pulling it back down.

This was an amazing race! It raced way better than I thought it would & had less carnage. I think that was the best road course race this year

I'll say it. NASCAR, find some way to arrange to have this be a regular feature on the schedule. This is a course that rewards driver skill, requires a compromise setup, and has just enough space to allow passing while still punishing missteps. If you can arrange to have it be, essentially, the 4th of July race every year, we might finally have a truly worthy successor to the old Firecracker 400 for the weekend of the 4th.

Really shows off how stupidly undertuned NASCAR cars has become. What a shame.

what a joke of a race on a base. just shows nascrap don't listen to fans. nobody asked for this and it was very expensive race. lot of torn up equipment, shipmates looking on from far off carrier, barely any extra seating for people to sit and watch, you had people literally walking up to safer barriers on the outside watching if anybody noticed

I wonder if Hocevar wasn’t spun out what the race would have looked like, unfortunate but amazing race none the less!!!!

Those cars are speeding. The road says 25mph. I got my car impounded when I went that fast over the speed limit.

I loved this race! Not all of the results, but the race overall was fantastic! Loved the unique track for nascar! What a finish!!! Congrats Heim!

I'm a frequent critic of Cup racing but NASCAR did a great job with this course. Congratulations to Heim and his teammates for a great race. Nice top 10 for the 17 team
