This is a beautiful song, but in my experience, it makes two basic assumptions about love which get in the way of everything else. A soulmate is a two way link. It is maximum vulnerability and maximum damage if Miss managed. You can form a soulmate situation but living in it is another matter. There is no magic to love and the one you decide to invest in needs to be told at least once how to love you and if you happen to love someone who has been hurt, possibly significantly, the extroversion necessary to love you maybe something they will have to work on for a while. You will have to decide whether that’s worth it to form the soulmate bond if that’s something you even want. On the upside, I listen to the song a lot, and it has made me cry a few times.
