Andrew Huberman reveals how a simple 17 minute practice can improve your focus permanently by reducing the number of "attentional blinks" (lapses of attention) you experience in daily life. This skill can help those struggling with ADHD as well as offset age-related mental decline.
Iāve done this for months and my mind now is 1000x more ADHD, what did i do wrong ?
Andrew D. HubermanĀ is an AmericanĀ neuroscientistĀ and tenured associateĀ professorĀ in the department of neurobiology and psychiatry and behavioral sciences atĀ Stanford University School of Medicine.

Most people think they have a focus problem. The real problem is how modern distractions hijack your brain.
60 seconds. One powerful psychology insight.

This is fake AI Huberman.
@SylviaFlores-ld8wwYou've invalidated any credibility you may have had in the first 40 seconds. You have no idea how irrelevant, distracting, unnecessary, embedded subtitles reduce the uptake of information in the video. Try watching a foreign movie with subtitles and see how much actual meaning of the story you miss.
@peter-e2qThis guy knows what heās talking about. I was diagnosed with a mild case of ADHD later in life. And itās true that whenever Iām emotionally motivated or had an emotional episode I tend to focus better. It also works for long term memory.
@wanterofjustice3878dogshit video. id love to try to focus but then you have subtitles random shots semi related to the video and bad background music its disgusting. had to look away to even understand what hes saying
@IfeelquitehenryI'm a Huberman lab fan (listened to nearly all his podcasts) but he seriously says, at the start, he's not going to tell us to meditate... then says to do a "meditation like practice!" šš
@Jamie-h1u9eReally helpful video, Excel basics were explained clearly and made easy for beginners š
@tanvi.parekhReally helpful video, Excel basics were explained clearly and made easy for beginners š
@priya55mahajanShould this be done in a quiet room? Like a sterile room
@CookiebockSo meditation
@williamw2351@4:01 .. That is precisely meditation that you described!
@Ani-cm4csI didn't have enough focus to finish this video.
@FactStormthis edit feels super smooth because every transition and sound cue lands perfectly š
honestly clean pacing and good music syncing already make videos feel cinematic without needing crazy effects everywhere.
realistically yeah š
a lot of people think they have āno focusā when their brain is just overloaded from constant scrolling, notifications and multitasking all day. consistency with small habits usually fixes more than extreme productivity hacks ever do.
Cool video, this gives important details here, about the body and focus.
@aaronk8527-f5tMeditation is very powerful. 35 years pretty consistently here. Why are people so afraid of the word 'meditation?'
@karenvalencicWho actually started concentrating while listening to the video.š
@chaotique_cosmosGoogle AI gave me 8 synonyms for Meditation. Is this the 9thā¦..?
@KarooDDude... that's literally mindfulness meditation. Its not AKIN to it LMFAO, that is it....
@PeterDinkle6950Useless
@PrakharvvyasI appreciate that nothing feels rushed or unfinished.
@SimpsonRussellIn frustration, yesterday morning while in the shower i repeated and visualized " 1 " in my head. Countless bullshit thoughts tried to ride in "as usual" it was challenging "sadly" however, it felt so nice because for moments i finally had nothing in my mind!!! But for the repetition...
@user-hl7uv1hn2yStudied for 4hrs I can't focus anymore today idk why??! Aaahhh
My average is 5hrs
I will put my dot(.) here for me to try it tonight
@sinanalpakyol7886great
@po.simmons_45cant focus to get throguh this video XD
@zaid_____abd___This is so silly. Why 17 minutes. Why not 19 or 11. Why would it be the same for every individual everyone is different. Truly 17 minutes or just another thought bubble
@vincentsmith9562āYou donāt procrastinate because youāre lazy.
You procrastinate because your brain gives you a perfect excuse:
āIāll start in a minute.ā
It feels harmless.
But that one thought is where your plans quietly die.
Most people try to force themselves in that moment.
Thatās why it keeps happening.
This gives you a simple interrupt for that exact secondā
so you donāt delay⦠even when your brain tells you to.
ā takes ~60 seconds to learn
ā works every time that thought shows up
No routines. No tracking.
Just something you use in the moment that normally ruins your day
If youāve ever said āIāll start in a minuteā and didnātā
this is for that exact situation.
Comment āsendā ā ā¹50 ā Iāll send itā
andrew huberman clips always make you wanna fix your entire attention span immediately after watching šš§ š
@saurabhmishra_YTI was in a narcissistic relationship, now I have trouble watching an entire tv show.
@shanaseibert9455Indian already know this š
@abhi34813At first, he talked about panoramic vision, and then he gave a totally different technique (introspection). I am confused why he talked about panoramic vision. May be I need more focus to understand the video š .
@RaviKumar-fg4obTerima Kasih
@LawHawNaIm not going to tell you to meditate
Meditate for 15 minutes
the problem that all of you in the comments seem to skip over is heās telling you how to get better and youāre rejecting that bc you canāt focus for 15m.. samadhi. This is spiritual awakening. idk why yall reject the truth of life. even the guy filming doesnāt seem to realize heās talking abt spirituality.
@jaydaniels-i1mA video about focus edited with as much distractions as possible š Absurd.
@Renaud.SavignardBefore I knew I have adhd, I struggled with focus and did the same meditation to improve focus. 13-15 minutes a day, focus on breathing. My focus improved in just 1 week. It was notably increased, I was able to snap back to work as my attention drifted away. In meditation I was training my brain to snap back whenever it drifts. That kept happening while I study too, increasing the focus. will start doing it again now.
@TEDxDAVV1Has this been patched yet?
@NexrctdeI cant even focus in dis vd ughh
@z9x.vps2Why 17 minutes?
@smyt-nt150Respire : It's not meditation
* looks inside *
Respire : It's meditation
I feel more alert and mentally active after using Medhya Powder from Planet Ayurveda.
@Aditya-j5b3tVisual focus directly drives cognitive focus. When we stare at screens all day, our visual field is artificially narrowed, which triggers a low-grade stress response in the nervous system. By consciously expanding your peripheral vision or looking at a distant horizon, you can immediately down-regulate this stress and reset your attention. We treat focus like purely a mental state, but it is heavily tethered to our optical mechanics.
How often do you consciously look at something more than 20 feet away during a workday?
I actually put together a free 48-hour reset breakdown on this if anyone wants to go deeper ā it's in my profile.
