A non MRS GT3 RS "sharpness" (lol)..... is actually much slower than a Z06, let alone a ZR1 X. US roads (other than freeways) are not maintained well; it will beat the shocks off foreign vehicles. Therefore in Tour mode, the C8 platform is softer on the spine. At full tilt, use Pro Mode on ZR1 X!

The ZR1X is faster in the quarter mile because of an additional 186 hp with instant torque and 4wd.
At the ring it was marginally faster than the ZR1 probably because it could come off turns with more acceleration. But the electric front drive shuts off at 160 mph. So now you have a vehicle with more weight and possibly more drag from the front axle. So at speeds over 160 mph the ZR1 will accelerate faster because it weighs less. Top speed isn't affected too much by additional weight but the rate of acceleration is affected by weight.So the ZR1 will reach its top speed quicker and possibly be slightly faster than the ZR1X.

@rwjazz1299This Simpson HANS Hybrid doesnt work with the regular belt, as he is using it, as far as I know you need at least 4 Point harness...otherwise the system just wont stay in place during a crash and so wont hold your head back..but I think it just looks cooler for the Video...

@jameslyons9842EVERY single new Corvette model has been called a Ferrari killer, just for everybody to realize that it's just an American "best bang for your buck" car.
And that means an American (low) quality sports car, where they have cut corners to make it cheaper. After winning all these quarter mile races, we will slowly realize all it's problems. The car itself will slowly show us why it has that price despite all the power. Just like ALL previous Corvette models.
I am amazed how GM, literally out of nowhere, departed from the normal kind of muscle car style into something exotic and even surpassing many others, no less. How did that happen? Impressive!

@denalidriven1574As an owner of a 23 stingray, I’m just a tiny bit let down that they didn’t do true bucket seats for a car like this. Because honestly even in my car that’s ONLY has 495 HP, it corners so well that you just slide around in the seat.

@AshyElsayidWell, 4100 pounds and 1100hp! Still slower than a 2018 GT2 RS. Also, 800 pounds heavier. Yep, the weight of 4 adults. Until Ford and Chevy start addressing the elephant in the room they will alway get beaten at the Ring. Who the hell cares what it does in 1/4 mile? Buy a drag car then. It does come with a pinky ring, shiny 80's racing jacket and a pair of New Balance sneakers..

@shadowofpain8144I read that the top speed of 233+ was over revving in 7th to 8200 rpm. I researched an engine power curve and it reads about 980hp at 8200 rpm So the power is down over 80 hp and it exceeds its redline by 200 rpm. The ability to exceed redline in 7th gear is
in all Zr1 and Zr1X cars. The engine is rated at 1064 hp at 7000 rpm. With better gearing or larger diameter tires the car should do 240+.The Bugatti
Veyron did 253 mph on about 1000hp.

I think everyone knows it's at minimum a super car, realistically it's a hyper car. Everyone knows it. The only reason it is still classified as 'just a sports car' is because it's American. If it were built in the U.K. or Germany, it would be classified differently.
