Well it was called Metroid prime remaster. The leak was about a remake.
I would be super disappointed we get a 2nd remaster. There is a remaster on 3DS. I played that a ton too already. Please no remaster.
If people want a remaster they should go and play the 3ds version.

We still need a date for Professor Layton and the new world of steam…I’m predicting we get the date and it’s August 20th!

3D Mario or Zelda or this direct is a wash

Part of me is entertained by the idea of constructing a direct designed to make the mario and zelda only fans as mad as possible. Like what if they opened on fire emblem and closed on a xenoblade. Its really a hedging my bets kind of situation where if its not excitingi can enjoy the fact other people are way more mad than me

It's wild how with the steam deck price increase the switch 2 has ended up in a better position than it was pricing wise. Like even post price hike it is now clearly the affordable option, especially when you consider the power. Although I do think there is still something to how much more affordable games can be on steam

As someone who's didn't grow up with the game nor did i really grow up a Nintendo fan i find it hard to reconcile the supreme confidence in oot remake as a system seller that some people have

Like it's a remake of an n64 game that is readily available is it really that exciting? You can play the game right now and have fun with it. And like beyond that what could they do to a Nintendo 64 game to justify it being a switch 2 exclusive?

People already look at a game like pokopia, and can't comprehend why it's switch 2 exclusive, and that game is doing a lot. I don't think it could run well on the switch.

But oot is an 64 game the switch can run breath of the wild, what could they possibly do to it that would convince people that it could only be done on the switch 2

I'm not buying GKCs so it's been a long ol' drought, last brand new switch 2 game I got was Prime 4 at the start of December

Well Ocarina of time done right, imagine leaning more heavily into the story, doing open world sections that you can explore a bit more and so on.
I think that could be the coolest thing ever but I'm super woried Nintendo just do the safest remake possible and then it will just be Ocarina of time cleaned up.

I predict a Tomodachi Life port for both switch 1 and 2 and I hope Nintendo actually does this… I pray to God that this happens!

I don’t want to get my hopes too high but I’m really happy to see a general direct again. I don’t know how other people feel but personally I HATE the single game focused directs. They’re just extremely boring to me, whether I’m interested in the game or not. I just don’t care for deep dives and generally like to go into a new game mostly blind, so a good well done trailer that teases but doesn’t show too much is perfect to me. I also think these single game directs are bad for marketing, because if it’s a game that I don’t care about there’s about a 0% of me actually watching it, while if it’s in the middle of a general direct and I get my eyes on it there’s a much higher chance for me to be interested. General directs just feel like an event that I actually want to be a part of too

No matter what happens tomorrow i’m 100% sure people will (once again) be disappointed with the direct
