Novembre — Words Of Indigo (2025) (Full Album Stream)

What an odd album... I'm still trying to figure out Sun Magenta. I feel like the vocals are smashed in the middle of the mix and stepping all over everything else, which is an odd choice given that he's not the strongest clean singer. The song itself feels "crowded" like there's so much going on at once that there's no direction which makes it feel flat or linear. Just an interesting choice for the opener as there are stronger songs on the album they could've opened with to pull you in.

I feel like Novemberine Waltz was their magnum opus. That album is pure perfection with the only flaw being the placement of the Kate Bush cover which should've been put at the end of the album as a bonus track or something. Classica is a very close 2nd. 'Wish' and the 'redux' are great in their own right, and I'll always have a soft spot for Arte 900, just because I love Giuseppe's drums on that album. Materia took me a few listens to get into. Musically it's a great album (even if it lacked all the extra embellishments of Novemberine), but Carmelo's vocals just sound 'bored' which kinda kills the album for me. The Blue starts out strong with some catchy tunes and Carmelo's vocals seem to be more on par with Novembrine... but by the 5th song it seems to lose its direction and just fizzles out to me. Ursa was another weird album as well. There are a couple decent tracks and good riffs/parts in other songs, but the album as a whole just didn't grab me and make me want to listen to it on repeat. I'll have to give this a few more spins to see if I can get into it. I dunno, just hasn't been the same since Giuseppe left, and now Max is out too... the new guy is a killer lead player which was the highlight of the album for me on the first listen. I'll see how I feel after a few more spins.

Es bueno escuchar a Novembre en Noviembre de 2025, es un gran disco de una vuelta que la escena Italiana y el metal merecen, la vuelta de ese sonido y estetica melancolica aun con mas riqueza de elementos..es algo asi como la profundizacion de ese otro gran disco que fue "Into de blue" aqui el genero del death doom se enriquece aun mas y nos regala momentos que solo Novembre nos puede dar. saludos fraternos hermanos italianos.

Awful clean male vocals. This nasal vocal just don't work mate, it ruins the fucking songs. You should've left the woman who sings on House of Rain do the vocals on all songs. I don't get how these albums pass through a basic quality checks. How the heck can you listen to this and like it before releasing it? Some of the songs show potential, but the male clean vocals are just so awful, it makes you close listen to something else.

Hire another vocalist.
