Oklo vs. NuScale: Why One Nuclear Stock Could EXPLODE

Video Overview & Insights

Oklo and NuScale are both chasing the same massive nuclear opportunity, but the way they make money could lead to very different outcomes for investors. In this video, I break down the nuclear power race behind AI data centers, the business model gap, and why one stock may have the stronger long-term setup.

NuScale has the regulatory head start, while Oklo may have the more powerful ownership model if it can execute. I’m comparing the risks, cash positions, customer pipelines, and investor payoff behind these two nuclear stocks so you can better understand which one could benefit most as demand for always-on clean power grows.

Key takeaways:

Since you made this video, the stock had plummeted, it is now trading under 8$. What price do you think it'll hit before rebouncing

✅ Why one model may compound better long term

Japan deal was struck last fall in 2025, now Japan is beginning to spend billions of $ to invest in our nuclear energy, especially via NuScale 🎉🎉 we can thank Mitsubishi electric and other Japanese for the help. They’ll also make ROI via rate fees from USA. NuScale is going to be able to prove reactors are safe here and they recently cleared another safety milestone. If any allies want to use NuScale designs, they can go a head 🎉🎉🎉

Two different markets. For temporary locations like oil and mining operations Oklo would make sense, for established long term Nu Scale. Much more cost effective for companies Like Google Microsoft and data centers to own their reactors. For temp locations just rent everything and let the company worry about dismantling it after the oil or minerals run out. The advantage of Nu Scale is that you don't pay by kw, and prices will never fluctuate. They both have good business models . Both are good companies.

You forgot to mention OKLO runs on HALEU which is basically exotic fuel. The constraints for HALEU are massive. Permits and what I believe to be the biggest hurdle is actually fuel for OKLO. NUSCALE runs on standard Low-Enriched Uranium (LEU) which is readily available. Nuscale has the licenses and the fuel, they just need a signature. OKLO has none of the three

Today, the Prime Minister of Romania stated that the nuclear power plant project in Doicești was allegedly planned on top of a significant natural gas deposit. This raises the question of how the project was allowed to advance to such a late stage without this issue being identified and properly assessed from the beginning.

According to the statements, during water drilling operations, a high-pressure gas flow was reportedly encountered. The situation is even more sensitive given that this phenomenon was observed only a few hundred meters from the proposed site of the NuScale Power plant.

If you have a lot of time and patience, nuclear is a good investment. Aren't there a lot startups round the country that actually didn't "start up"? Seems that would be a good path.

@billwilliams9527
@

NuScale's Idaho project was terminated 3 years ago. They currently have a memorandum of understanding with the Romanian government to build a cluster of reactors and the Korean government is also courting them for a project.
EDIT:
Now we can add Japan to that list.

Mind doing a video for imsr?

We have a real plus for SMR in that President Doofus has mentioned Nuscale and also said he’s getting rid of most of the NRC's safety regulations so that they can be built more quickly. And as you know, has the builder gene. 👍

@blipco5
@

Id like to add something…NuScale will ultimately fail because nobody wants to own and operate and be responsible for a nuclear reactor..With OKLO, you can have nuclear power and OKLO will take care of everything…Thats a much better proposition with much less headaches and liability if you’re a business owner

Don’t invest Nuscale .It's suspected of fraud. Shareholders are initiating a lawsuit. Smr paid Entra1 $500 million last year. As a result, Entra1 is simply a shell company with only three people.

@Aike_Shi
@

No, you are wrong in two counts. 1st, OKLO has 2.5 b cash and SMR has 1.2. OKLO spends upward of 450 million per year. SMR’s first quarter expenditure is 57 million. But your mistake is not realizing that the first quarter expenditure is one off. SMR has its design done, so it has plenty of runway. If the company can get cash flow positive at the end of 2026, it’s run way is even longer. 2nd, SMR is taking the approach of being a technology company, selling advanced products as OME. As future SMR designs mature, SMR will sell advanced products. Conversely, OKLO wants to operate as a utility, with fixed design per site. One is a technology company, the other a utility. Where do you want to put your money?

@TheVaccineMachine

Oklo, you own the risk of operation for -40 years, cleanup decommissioning, etc. And you have to get community ( which doesn't want the Data center) participation in the Emergency plan prior to startup. Look how that worked for Seabrook.

SMR. Jensen himself has said in 5 years there will be small modular nuclear reactors powering all of this AI/Datacenter development.

@xDarkjoy

Why not both.

@jameskim4642
@

You are right the data centers need power - not someday but right now. That is why Oklo and Nuscale are still very speculative plays - momentum takes them up, reality takes them down. No issue putting a little money into them for the long term but I would say BE and GEV are the better ways to play data center energy needs. Buy on pull backs that are happening now.

One thing I have learned about the stock market is that it is very very manipulated. It will not let investors know when it go up or down. It will always do the opposite what investors think it might do... If investors can figure out what the market is going to do, companies will go bankruptcy.... So I don't waste my time and energy to bother what the market is going to do...... for me .. Long & short-term trading is generally safer, allowing investors to weather market volatility. I have managed to grow a Portfolio of around 38 bitcoins in the space of a few months in the space of a few months.Thanks again, Leilanie Wolfe for the regular updates,

There is another company that should draw attention and that is X-Energy. They have a 80 MWatt SMR in development and had $100 million in revenue last year. They also produce nuclear fuel, so they already have a revenue stream.

The smart move is to buy all three. They will most likely all grow substantially, but one of these companies will explode as energy demand outstrips current energy capacity. This could be like buying AMD, Intel, or Nvida five years ago.

I feel like I'm stuck in ground hogs day where idiots keep talking about failed nuclear companies (ie Nuscale) to appease their corporate overlords. Dudes literally made over 100 videos with Oklo (undervalued) included and yet he acts like its the first time every time. This guy works for Big Banks.
