I do have a large collection of dried herbs and spices as I need them for a recipe. I buy in bulk when possible … an ounce or two.

My husband eats a lot more carbs then I do I always have rice, potatoes, and peanut butter with crackers in our pantry as well and I must have Greek yogurt for me every week. 😊But your list is very similar to what we buy each week. Thank you

0:33 - Grocery Store Scam
Skip the "grocery" store. Try a local restaurant supply store like US Chef Store or Cash & Carry. They have all these things at better prices without all the gimmicky dynamic pricing and membership card nonsense.
2:01 - Olive Oil
2:23 - Garlic & Onions
NEW SUB. FROM THE USA. YOU ARE GREAT CAN YOU DO MORE INSTPOT MEALS. Kathy from Cali. 😎CALIFORNIA
2:48 - Whole Chicken
3:20 - Beef Mince
Yep. Skip celery add potatoes! Otherwise spot on!
3:42 - Lentils or Beans
4:28 - Eggs & Canned Fish
20 categories….
4:48 - Salt
5:09 - Fresh Veg
I'd get by without the canned fish and rice 🤮
I'd add a lettuce and tomatoes. Great for salads with your celery and also carrots
But most things on your list I'd agree with.
5:45 - Frozen Veg
5:55 - Canned Tomatoes
Can or dry northern beans, box noodles or instant ramen, jar pasta sauce, chicken broth or cubes or bouillon paste, Parmesan cheese shredded or in the container, salsa jars, rice, frozen veggies of choice or can veggies, peanut butter & jelly, crackers, apples, olives, bread butter pickles, potatoes, olive oil, Greek seasoning, mushrooms jar or fresh, eggs, bell peppers. That’s my list.
6:32 - Pasta & Rice
7:16 - Flour
Ramen
7:36 - Milk, Butter, Cheese
8:10 - Peanut Butter
I would encourage a lower sodium diet, we literally don't need the amount of salt we add to everything and be watchful of anything canned or prepared other than at home. Definitely use any herbs and spices. Salt is good but in much lower amounts. Add oats, honey, tea all of which are healthy
8:26 - Fruit
8:48 - Outro
Forgot olive oil !

I use a mixture of seasonings. Salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, grated Parmesan cheese or a mixture of Parmesan and Regiano cheese. Rice, pancake mix., butter, sliced cheese for grilled cheese sandwiches. Yogurt is important to help have a snack now and then. Unsalted crackers for soups, because in America all soups have 800-900 or more milligrams of salt in them. Even a brand called Progreso.

You wouldn't buy olive oil and salt every week
@jenniferparry8709I’m a chef you can go very far with just salt and pepper
@lechefy1413I buy Beef, Bacon, Eggs, Pork rinds, Chicken, butter. I don't buy them every week, because most of it lasts a bit longer than a week. And I like specific pork rinds so if they are not available I don't get any at all. Because of my gut issues from 2 prior surgeries I do not eat beans, onions, or any wheat or milk products. So it's pretty limited anyway. I get some other things intermittently, but not regularly and even less now that eveything has gotten more expensive. I keep my budget at $300 and that includes any eating out with friends or family.
@anniesshenanigans3815What! No bread? Noooooooooo. . . And potatoes! Oatmeal!
@cherylmoreau924No bread?
@jillrose9798No oatmeal?
@lolacole5653I would buy 18 of your 20. We don't like lentils etc and I very rarely use flour
@OurFrugalCosyHomei buy all these items plus i cut out eating potato and now eat sweet potato instead. also Romaine and green leafed vegetables, oh my patio garden with Swiss Chard and Chives mixed into salads.
@johnindahouse8151I have a gang of spices at home, but these days I am enjoying JUST salt and pepper on my food with a dash of Cajon seasoning.
@thelthrythquezada8397Hi I’m 60 .the popping sounds are to much .
@scoobydog411Why buy olive oil, salt AND can tomato weekly buy bulk and save.
@stepenjeffreyI’m going to try the whole chicken as I usually buy just chicken breast, but at $8+ per package I can do better with the whole chicken. We currently spend around $100/week and I just think that is too much. I make sourdough sandwich bread also and homemade tortillas and we make our own refried beans. We do buy the 25 lb bags of rice, but the meal prep/menu planning is a big part of staying on track. I find a 2 week rotation help for the 2 of us.
@aliciadonohue90011. Frozen Pizza
2. Bakery Cookies
3. Bakery Butter Tarts
I kid...sort of. I do have a sweet tooth for cookies and cheesecake in particular.
More seriously I'd say Potatoes are essential. Delicious. Filling. Versatile.
I'm also big on spice mixes as someone whose not really a cook. Garlic Plus. Caribbean Spice Mix. Garam Masala. Plenty of others and plenty I haven't gotten around to trying yet. These are costly initially at around $13 Canadian for the large container but they also last a year easily. Try out a couple and see what you think. Just throw some on top of your steamed veggies, on top of your rice. Your chicken. Your potato. Whatever. It adds variety based on the spice mix you've opted for and keeps familiar dishes from tasting the same. I especially like it on leftovers. Each night a different spice blend to top things.
Thank you for posting the list and sparing me from having to listen to that guy
@MichaelPal-o2sI've learned to be thrifty from my mother, as she always carried these items in her kitchen, so do I. Simple delicious cooking.
@simplelife450-r3eThank you for the video ❤❤
@constancegomez351Why I like choice.
@katehillier1027I make a list of what i need and thats it
@yerhan1572When I Buy my Groceries I Buy Meats, fresh potatoes ( if I need them) I buy what I need and am hungry for and I also buy food for the ENTIRE Month I don't buy food for just a week. What I'm NOT buying is anything from the keto diet, I don't buy anything related to this modern junk diet. I'm NOT Following the Masses sometimes the M is silent.
@00055PeacandHappinessNo potatoes bro?
@KevinschartI'm lactose intol, allergic to eggs, peanuts and list goes on
@61Z-w5lBread?
@Beanie65what about beans and lentils? they're cheap if buying dry ones, a great fiber, protein and carb source.
@kalfaxplays7899Potatoes instead of rice. Much more versatile. And there's nothing much there to make a sandwich for lunch. Do you eat bread? What do you eat for breakfast?
@Lily_The_Pink972Potatoes!
@kittyfeline6857Please don’t ad Popup Sounds in your videos. I’m 60 and I bet many people my age like your videos. We didn’t grow up with noises.
@scoobydog411Just buy seasonal foods
@udaygakher8001Chicken thighs (bone in), broccoli. oatmeal, spinach, avocadoes, frozen blueberries and cherries, sweet potatoes, lentils (dal), eggs, half and half (coffee creamer), coffee, olive oil, garlic, curry powder, chickpeas, breakfast links (1 a day), whole grain bread, peanut butter, raspberry spread ( no sugar added), lo mein noodles and Friday night treat -- frozen organic french fries cooked in the oven served with ketchup. Once a month -- ground beef and some cheese for burgers. All organic, much of it locally sourced.
@nicokarsen6131Thank you David
😂
Got it sorted
this is NOTHING new, I been getting this since 1981!
@wolfyklipI'm lactose intolerant so no yoghurt or 🧀 cheese for me, can't stand fruit because they spray so many pesticides and preservatives on them and i can't stomach them, my stomach is sensitive, i do try the vegetables, i get the whole chicken and cut it into parts, season with salt and pepper and put it into containers for the week, eggs, rice, i eat also so there is some stuff i do right, i also eat butter beans too, lidi do some nice tinned ones that go well with lamb or other proteins 😊
@HUYI1Oh, I have to have the plain greek yogurt too.
@flacosse764What about popcorn? I usually get the kernals, usually once a month. I snack on airpopped corn.
@flacosse764I see what is on the Table. The Milk is no real Milk, it is water with white Color and Chemical-Taste. Same is with other stuff. I am 183 Inches tall, I am your Living God. Your Governments Feeded me with Fake Food. Their Workers who must serve me are my Enemies and they eat Real Food. This I will let Punish you! And this Video is a Fake CIA made Video to Fake me.
@halukoeren5388Surely you don’t buy
Salt
Flour
Peanut butter
Oil
Butter
Cheese
Every single week ?
My list of 20
Pasta ( most weeks a couple of packs)
Tinned tomatoes ( Italian, Roma or cherry - less acid)
Passata but mostly just tinned tomatoes
Tinned coconut cream ( I use instead of milk and cream it’s cheap and pantry stable)
Eggs
Bacon
Cheese ( one type or style or another)
Chicken breast fillet
Beef mince
Garlic + onion ( I use it every week,but purchase 2-3 weeks)
That’s pretty much my everyday items
Hamburger has become pretty expensive, so I have switched it out with ground pork or pork sausage. About half the price and less fat. Hot sausage is my fav.
