This is absolutely amazing. You're providing this for free and it makes perfect the way you've explained this. Meanwhile, there are YoutTubers charging tons of money while unable to explain it as well as you. Unreal. Thank you very much

As new investor, it's important to remember that investing and trading require more than just technical analysis skills. Discipline and emotional maturity play a significant role in achieving success. It's wise to keep in mind the adage of "time in the market vs. timing the market," as this mentality can help you weather market volatility. With insights and my commitment to learning and growth, I've been increasing my earnings in just a few months. Keep up the good work

options trading 101

Getting into the market and trading sounded simple at first, but once I got in, the price swings and mixed information made everything more confusing. I’ve tested several strategies,_ yet the results are just not there. Seeing others move ahead while I struggle has been frustrating. Has anyone actually worked with someone who guides you step by step instead of recycled content? I need real guidance....

option trading basics

Great video. Most traders think options are directional bets. They're not. Options are volatility bets. In my book (in Amazon) THE OPTIONS TRADER'S GUIDE: GREEKS, RISK, AND REALITY, I show that a delta-hedged long option position breaks even when realized volatility equals implied volatility. If realized is higher, you profit. If lower, you lose. That's it. Direction is secondary. Once you understand that, you stop gambling and start trading.

Thank you for sharing your perspective so clearly, especially the way you framed options as insurance before jumping into strategy, because that gives beginners a much more grounded way to understand what they’re actually buying. I also appreciated your perspective that options are not just about chasing upside, but about transferring and managing risk, which is where a lot of traders get humbled fast. What stood out to me is that once people understand the mechanics, the next real battle is psychological—because knowing what a call or put is means very little if fear, greed, impatience, or overconfidence are making the decisions. Trading psychology matters because the contract may define the risk on paper, but the mind still decides whether a trader uses that tool wisely or turns it into expensive chaos.

QUESTION - How could I purchase a "call" (right to buy) something I won't eventually have the capital for? Conversely, how can I buy a "put" (right to sell) for something I don’t fundamentally own?

call options

I would call BS on the "Gives the holder the option, (but NOT THE OBLIGATION).. If you buy the Put, be sure to Sell it before it runs out, otherwise you can lose a great deal of money like I did. Better to lose $2000 rather than $25000

Admittedly, I am new to tradlng, but the S&P is in a bull, inflation is going down steadily, interest rates aren't being raised at the moment., i heard about people earning and making more profits this period, I have approximately $250k stagnant in my port_folio that needs growth. What is the best way to take advantage?

The key to financial stability is having the right investment suggestions for a diverse portfolio. Many investment failures and losses happen when you invest without proper guidance.

9:57 I don't understand this example. I understand trading options contracts if premium goes up or down without buying the stock, because you're not exercising the contract, you're just trading the contract itself. But I thought exercising the contract meant you WERE buying the shares. So why do you get a gross profit of $1200 because of the share price going up if you don't actually buy the shares?

Mistake

@RunForestRun996

Really trying to understand this, in example one at 6:01, you had/bought 100 shares at 1.25 and bought a put option anticipating the shares would decreasein value, but instead they go up to $1.32. You in affect are selling your 100 shares at 1.32 which is a profit of $700, but you need to minus out the premium and thus net only $200. So essentially you only make $200 and are left with no shares. But I thought you said you have the right, but not the obligation to sell. Confused.
