2. Incredible Comparisons (Ⓒ1996) by Russell Ash
3. Extinct Animals: An Encyclopedia of Species that Have Disappeared during Human History (Ⓒ2009) by Ross Piper
4. Forest Fighter: The Story of Chico Mendes (Ⓒ2022) by Anita Ganeri
Collectively, #1 through 3 reveal that between 1900 and 2009 C. E. alone, logging and farming have reduced the world's rainforest cover by over ¾--at least 0.7%, or over 86,000 square miles, per year. This is nearly 10 square miles per hour. Also, #2 reveals that since 1900 C. E., the worldwide human population has more than quintupled--in other words, it has grown by at least 1.285% per year (it was 1.285% bigger in 1901 than in 1900, 1.285% bigger in 1902 than in 1901, etc.).

@combatviewpointMan, 2026. I wish I could see more of these series. The quality is legendary, the narration literally embodies perfection, it's calming and engaging at the same time, and it's very educational. I don't see any other documentaries that tops this.
