We were so surprised by Taipei 🇹🇼! It quickly became one of our favorite cities in Asia. The food scene is seriously underrated. Raohe night market was a little intense for us with the crowds, so I would also suggest checking out Ximen neighborhood night market - it's a unique market with luxury stores, souvenir shops, stationary food stalls and moving food carts. One of the most unique markets we've seen during our Asia journey.

That is NOT the Elephant mountain trail viewpoint. 😅 It's only maybe the halfway point. While you certainly don't need to go further or higher, and also depending on your fitness level or weather etc, I would suggest go to the proper Elephant Mountain observation deck, around where you'll also find some big boulders. Much better view up there.

While I am rather tickled by the idea of “little dragon bun” xiao long bao is really more accurately “little basket bun.” (I personally think they looked like tiny Victorian ladies reticules, minus the ties and fringes.)
