Not enough parking tho. This is why America is on top we value the comfort of the people rather than the aesthetics of the rich. Working People should be able to live and drive in paris rather it seems its built for rich people to run amok like tourists. Add more parking and its not that hard just remove a few trees and make some sidewalks skinnier while also taking very small portions of parks and courtyards as designated parking space.

Tiny point: The chapel of Invalides (Cathedral of Saint-Louis-des-Invalides) is a different building from the Eglise du Dome that you pictured, but they're right next to each other and the chapel is rather invisible so easy mistake.

Thank you Manuel for your accurate explanation. As it happens I met a friendly Corean visitor some days ago at a bus stop near Pont Mirabeau. He wanted to visit Montmartre and as I was myself having a stroll I suggested to accompany him. We took the metro and I wanted to show him Place de la Concorde, but it was closed because of the implementation of the Olympic Games, so we went on to Madeleine, which we visited and I could give him some explanations from the top of its flight of stairs, with a wonderful view on Concorde, the National Assembly, the golden dome of Invalids, Montparnasse tower... After that we took the metro to the station Abbesses and climed to Sacré Cœur basilica. In these several hours together, I gave this visitor the main explanations about Paris development, in a nutshell, and your documentary reassured me on the fact that I was right in limiting my explanations to these main historical data . I wonder, may be I could be a guide for tourists visiting Paris...

Thank you Manuel for the great video. As an old civil engineer, I recently been to Paris the first time, and was blown away by nicely planned of the city, beautiful buildings everywhere, and the romantic Seine River! I joked to my friend that Paris is the centre of the universe. When describing a place is good, people often benchmark it to Paris, e.g. Paris of the East (Shanghai, China), Paris of the North America (Montreal, Canada), etc. Learned a lot from your video, keep up the good work! 👍

Really interesting, but it's funny that you praise the place de la Concorde: it has been a traffic nightmare, then near the Tuileries it was an empty space with nothing to do. Now it is becoming more interesting.
