Planet Zoo - Building Habitat Basics To Advanced

How come your walls come pre standing up? Mine are always flat on the ground.

All the kids showing how to be "advanced"...but the guests in their own zoos walk through walls, just like in this video. Can you say basic? A generation awash in its own delusion.

What if you said "the possibilities are endless"
but Planet Zoo said "obstructed"

Also, invisible fences follows terrain. So if you use stamp tool to raise the terrain, build the barriers then lower the terrain back down the barrier will continue to float midair. It does mean you cant edit the barrier without re-raising the terrain. But it gives the option to layer habitats on top of eachother while maintaining seperate habitats and seperate gates. I use it for overhangs for otherwise incapatible species (ie my penguins have a hill overlooking the polar bear habitat. Directly under the hill is an icecave for the bears. To the side i have an underwater viewing for the penguins, with a ramp down to a swimming pool for the bears with the ramp having a water effect to make it look like the water is moving from one pool to another and ice rocks framing the top pool (sides top and bottom, with giant icicles for supports) to keep the penguins from leaving their habitat and getting into the bear enclosure where theyd be eaten). Or for overhead guest viewing (such as marsupials, primates, cats) where they can traverse throughout the zoo even over other habitats. I have a lemur habitat that spans right over my safari area visible through the entrance viewpoint and over the guest heads for instance. So while theyre looking down at the zebra and gazelle, or across to where the elephants and giraffe are visible they can also look up and see lemurs ocassionally scamper by.

I’m realizing I need to figure out more controls lol idk how you move things up and down so easily. I also can’t figure out how to get inside buildings so I can see what I’m doing lol

Your videos are great!!! I just worry that even for me I’m learning that some of it is just TOOOO advanced. Practice makes perfect okay, maybe. But I still think that when it comes to building they REAAALLY need just placing a wall or fence like Sims 4, not piecing together 300 hundred pieces and angling it just right to get what you need

This is an extremely creative game, and the best of zoos are made by the extremely creative people. It's good to stretch one's brain on Planet Zoo.

I saw you added Solar Panales to the roof of your custom made habitat. Can your mechanics still reach and repair them, or do you just replace them when needed?

What do I look up in the workshop to find fences? I can never find them

Appreciate the video but it’s a bit disingenuous to call this a console tutorial when you’re playing on PC… surely you realise the UI is completely different? It’s also not really fair to other creators who are making console videos while actually playing the console version..
