My animals walk straight through the mesh even when null barrier set correctly

hey just curious. i built a custom wall but for some reason the null barrier doesnt want to work. i try to attach a path to the entrance gate for my workers but the game doesnt want it to work. Any idea as to why that might be? cause I really want to start using more custom builds for my zoos rather than the standard stuff

Heya, this video is quite old so you might not see this but I have a question: I'm playing on PS5 and going through the campaign at the moment to get a hang of things. Now I'm not allowed to change terrain yet (create hills and mountains etc) so I have to work with the terrain that's there. I tried to build null barriers through existing mountain cliffs as they look the perfect "custom barrier" at some points but my cursor won't go in the mountain and I can only place the null barriers right on the edge, often leading to tiny bits and bobs where the animal can "escape" the null barrier and walk another inch before it hits the mountain cliff. That if course then still causes the alarm and panic amongst my visitors even though the animal can't go anywhere...
Tldr: is there a way to place a null barrier well inside existing mountains or will it have to go through "decoration elements"?

Hello mate. I just got the game on ps5 as it's on sale atm.
Almost done with the campaign and i can't wait to build my parks from scratch.
Do custom barriers work like actual premade barriers? Like can visitors see through 'em or are they just a decorative thing? I love making my own things but it's only half the fun when my visitors are going to ignore all the cool stuff.

Ive been loving you videos, thank you. Can I ask please in game barriers have certain resistance grades and in zoopedia they suggest these grades. How does this work with the custom barrier please? Do we just ignore the grade.

How do you know how tall your custom barriers are to prevent escape? Do you just have to place them and then measure with the null barrier every time? Or do animals not escape out of custom barriers based on height?

ive tried putting null barrier inside habitat, outside habitat, and inside the walls i make but my bears keep escaping over and over almost instantly, they just run right through it. Please help!
