Why is there not an in program tutorial?

The whole Windows UI is different, there's no way I can follow this Mac tutorial on Windows?

In a series of emails with Final Draft support I am told that the Windows version of FD13 looks nothing like the version advertised in this video. In fact it looks more like FD11.
I was told that the version in this video is Mac only. In other words this video is deceptive advertising.
I was also assured by two different people that the way the Format Assistant works is that it will not scan a document until it stops on the first error - it will stop on every one of the 1500 elements and tell me there was no error found and require me to click on NEXT to get the Format Assistant to step to the next element to then tell me there is no error.
Obviously it's not supposed to work that way but after me explaining to them in 5 emails that that's how mine worked they told me that's the way it's supposed to work.
Good luck trying to get support out of those idiots.

Is the windows 10/11 version better?

Final Draft forced me to upgrade to Final Draft 13, and charged me for a huge wasted of time. Tons of screens offering info I don't need. Now when I try to open the screenplay I'm working on, it makes my entire system crash. Thanks Final Draft

If the industry is really going to Ai, you should implement some kind of app feature that allows you to make a quick video concept for your script.

They acknowledge that there are some differences between Final Draft on Mac and on Windows. What they don't acknowledge is that the software is literally fundamentally different. By zero means is this of any use to anyone outside of the Apple ecosystem.

this is the worst software possible. the website is created and managed by assholes.

Trial version before purchasing because of the advice of a writer I know. I just installed it, but I haven't started working yet because of the inconveniences I've encountered. It seems as if the developers have no idea what index cards look like in real life. None of the scriptwriters work with cards that are the same color as the field they are on. This is a white spot. Therefore, we use either cards of a different color or a background of a different color - magnetic or cork. In FD, the only way to change the background is to switch to night mode. Why? Your competitors have more useful index cards. FD13 is also not optimized - scrolling index cards slows down on M1 max.

I thought this was an installation guideline.

With all due respect, could you please actually tell us what windows users are supposed to do? I can't find anything online pertaining to the windows version and it is very frustrating. The windows UI looks nothing like the Mac UI.

I tried to load a header on a project 7 times last night. No luck.

I've already written a screenplay I need help formating it. I've never seen a video on that very frustrated. Also Is there an automatic button for formatting...does final 13 utilizes A.I?

My issue is trying to download final draft 13 to my other laptop. I've already purchased, and when they ask for email or customer #, I enter email, but never given customer #.

I'm about to just go AI, I'm just tired of having to wait days for answers, days for help. Robots aren't moody, and never take time off and always there to help you.
I used to be against AI, but now, hell, if it can help me streamline my projects without having to wait days and days for help, then why not...cause time is money.
I just don't have days and days to wait for some final draft tech to respond, so I'll try this new AI version of final draft...I will not give the name though cause don't want others learning this new product..lol

Can you please update the FD13 Windows UI so it's not from 30 years ago? Also, the Windows experience is completely different and you did not highlight a single variation, contrary to the intro. I know most of your customer base must be on MAC, but it can't be that hard to update the Windows version more than once a generation. All that aside, thank you for the tools you provide! I see why this is the industry standard, but I don't want to buy a new computer just to fit in.

How do you select paper size? In UK we have A4 only for printing. in the US it is legal letter(??) So depending on region .. the paper size nees to be chosen first right?

I'm in windows version 13 trial and nothing works like is described in the video, despite this video being linked to in the app itself. So far I've spent 5 minutes on it and I can't believe this software is the "industry standard".

Can you guys please do this same tutorial but show the windows version of it instead because you did not show where anything in the tool bar is on windows considering there is no tools bar on the windows version Thank You!

Beginner here. Had a question. The addition of lines for MOSSY the ACTION being performed is by TANGLE. Is it correct or it should have been under TANGLE ?

MOSSY must be capitalised the first time as he/she/it is a SPEAKING CHARACTER. The same for TANGLE plus the description of Tangle is missing. EPIC FAIL.

I don't like the new black logo, it's way too much contrast and distracting. Too dark for an app icon, stands out like a sore thumb.
