S-Tier:
As a Robinhood user I really like their Gold card. I have the Gold subscription and I pay less than $5 a month because they also offer it for $50 a year when paid in advance. Their Gold Visa card has replaced my Costco Visa because I can use the 3% Gold cash back right away in my Robinhood account to buy stocks, unlike having to wait a year to get the Costco Visa cash back funds. And I'm not a "day trading gambler", I'm a long term investor and have done very well doing this.

Ink Business Cash® Credit Card: https://go.nextcard.com/humphrey-youtube-09182025-ibc-desc (offer in video no longer available)
If you don't get at least 2% on every purchase and covers the annual fee, if there is one, that's the baseline.
Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card: https://links.affil.ai/humphreys-guide-chase-sapphire-preferred-youtube-09182025-4
Capital One Savor: https://www.cardonomics.com/i/humphrey-cash-back
Sapphire reserve is much better for me than Amex platinum or Gold. The portal 8X points are huge for my work and personal travel, and I use robinhood for non-travel spend. 3X on Airbnb is also much better than the other cards. Lounge access for my family of 6 is also much better than Amex, wife and I can bring everyone into lounges for free even when we fly economy.
Bilt Mastercard: https://bit.ly/bilt-rewards
Chase Freedom Unlimited®: https://go.nextcard.com/youtube-09182025-cfu-desc-8dk7pdr
I have had my quicksilver card for too long. If I cancel it will kill my credit age.
*Please note: You can only get $1,500 in value with the CSP if you also have a CSR.
B-Tier:
My next card is the chase sapphire. I want 100,000 in available credit.

Just got approved for a Chase Freedom Unlimited with a 695
Capital One Quicksilver: https://www.cardonomics.com/i/humphrey-cash-back
Citi DoubleCash: https://www.citi.com/credit-cards/citi-double-cash-credit-card
how to cook rice perfectly

Wells Fargo Active Cash: https://creditcards.wellsfargo.com/
Just got approved for the Robinhood card. My wife and I are moving from the Apple Card. I appreciate how simple Apple makes everything, but that 3% on everything is great. I believe it's simple enough to move the money from the Robinhood brokerage back into my main bank account. A little more manual work, but I think it's worth it.
Amex Platinum Update: on 9/18, the American Express Platinum's fee went up to $895, that's hefty. In exchange, you now get a $400 Resy Credit ($100 per quarter), $600 Hotel Credit which has been upped, $200 Oura Ring Credit, and a $300 Lululemon credit ($75 per quarter). The changes are "okay" depending on if you use those credits or not in your every day spend, but I still think it belongs in the B Tier even with these changes.
C-Tier:
is well fargo active cash better than citi double cash? more directly, can be used in costco?
American Express Delta Skymiles: https://www.americanexpress.com/us/credit-cards/category/rewards-delta-skymiles/
American Airlines AAdvantage Platinum: https://www.citi.com/credit-cards/citi-aadvantage-platinum-elite-credit-card
Makes no sense to rank up cards that are tied to the hip to airports. Airport lounges, miles, etc... all of that is pretty much worthless.
United Explorer Card: https://creditcards.chase.com/travel-credit-cards/united/united-explorer
Chase World of Hyatt: https://creditcards.chase.com/travel-credit-cards/world-of-hyatt-credit-card
IMO opinion, IF as you mentioned fly frequently then the Delta Gold Skymiles card is A tier. At the very least B tier, just because of the current sign up bonus. Idk about AA though
Wells Fargo Autograph Journey: https://creditcards.wellsfargo.com/
Citi Custom Cash: https://www.citi.com/credit-cards/citi-custom-cash-credit-card
No mention of the Capital One Spark Business Card? That's a flat 2% back. Until the 3% Robinhood card, it was my overall favorite.
Wells Fargo Autograph: https://creditcards.wellsfargo.com/
Marriott Bonvoy Boundless: https://www.marriott.com/credit-cards.mi
yea but then you have to deal with chase customer support
D-Tier:
Apple Card: https://www.humphreysguide.com/credit-cards/apple-card
i feel like if I was rich enough for these cards to make sense... then I'd be rich enough to not want to bother with saving money by spending my time and energy on all this stuff..

You are overlooking the best part of the Applecard which is ACMI being able to purchase at the Apple Store with 0% interest on the repayment.
0:11 - Chase Freedom Unlimited®
1:09 - Apple Card
Majority of my grocery spend is at costco so I'm not sure I could ever leverage the AMEX gold. Anybody know if walmart purchases even get classified as grocery for amex?
2:16 - American Express Gold
3:49 - Capital One Savor
I wish I treated my credit with respect and had a budget and discipline! I went from starting my credit build in 2014 to a credit score of 775 in 2018 only to burn it all in chapter 7 in November 2024! Started rebuilding my credit the day of my 341 meeting! Never again am I buying crap I can’t afford with money I don’t have to impress people I don’t really like! Credit cards require extreme caution! If I want something big, I just work extra hours and save!
4:54 - Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card + Ink Business Cash® Credit Card
6:40 - Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card
I don't understand how you could put the Autograph two tiers below the Savor. They're very similar, but with slightly different categories for the tiers, and with the Autograph, you don't need a premium card to have access to transfer partners. The Savor might have better protections though. It really depends on if you have a major preference for gas and travel vs. entertainment and groceries.
7:44 - Costco Visa & Amazon Prime Visa
9:09 - Citi Double Cash
lmao this whole video is just an ad. Still thanks for being transparent with your disclosure, but it also makes me unable to rely on any of this given all the bias. Wasted 5 minutes today. Apple card is S tier if you're out of country. No international fees, apple pay is predominant outside of usa.
12:21 - Airline Cards
12:55 - American Express Platinum
1A. Fidelity Rewards Visa - 2% cash back on all purchases with no annual fee 1B. Citi DoubleCash MasterCard - 2% cash back on all purchases with no annual fee 2. Apple - 2% cash back with Apple Pay with no annual fee and extra security since no numbers are printed on the physical credit card. Every other credit card is worse, and this guy's credit card tier list is typical shill with affiliate links garbage.
14:41 - Wells Fargo Autograph
15:52 - Robinhood Gold Card
My combo is the Amex gold and the Amex Business Plus 2x on everything
17:10 - Chase Freedom Flex
17:53 - American Express Blue Cash Everyday
Wanted to stop by and also say Citi Custom Cash deserves A tier, it's my current main.
For people spending under $500 on purchases per month it's almost certainly the best value for cash back. Even if you only use it to spend $250 on groceries that month, that's still $12.50 back per month for the groceries alone. Easy free money for those who need it the most.
18:39 - Capital One Quicksilver
19:02 - Wells Fargo Active Cash
Do the S tiers have better affiliate commissions. How in the world is Robinhood a better card than the Amazon card.
19:21 - Hotel Cards
20:25 - Chase Sapphire Reserve®
Robinhood Gold is my favorite, simplified my set up
21:51 - Citi Custom Cash
22:39 - Discover It Cash Back
Citi custom cash should have been A tier.

@humphrey What do you think about Robinhood Platinum Card?

Check.
@CheckStand-qrcode-verifyap-l8yJust here to pile on regarding the Custom Cash. Shame, Humphrey, shame.
@hclyricsRobinhood gold is now 3.35% cash back for me, but that might be under some condition.
@JonathanGorrVery informative!
@RylieDesmond-o8pSo much effort in this single video! Very comprehensive indeed. Thank you!
@YingcredibleTipsAmazing video!
@yodkophdydjsThis is useful!
@graciaHugsNo fidelity cash back card?
@itznolimitzI like the Amazon card because of the ease of claiming my cash back. Every time I buy anything on Amazon's web page I can just go ahead and cash in whatever I've earned. I don't wait for anything in the mail. Nobody sends me a check. I just buy whatever I was going to buy anyway and pay for it with the cash back award. If you never buy anything on Amazon then that wouldn't work that well. But last I heard there's a fair number of people who do. The rate is irrelevant to me since I auto pay both of my credit cards in full. So the cash back and the ease of claiming it is the only relevant feature.
@paulschaaf88808:01 what are you talking about. You can get a cool tote. Lol.
@rgracia611What sucks is now in order to get cash back you have to have a chase account starting march 26
@base1096-d7xAll the gimmicky cards were ranked S and A tier 🤣
Kind of lost respect from this segment.
I always enjoy your content. Keep it up!
@MainCharacter69Who doesn't use Amazon?
@eazzii_m5408Citi DoubleCash got robbed. Free card with high cash back and no category nonsense. Should be an A.
@js46644Can you make a 2026 update?
@SJR271I started with $25k
now l've hit $1,070,590. I was having this exact conversation with my son the other night-generational wealth isn't just about getting money. It's about teaching everyone not only how to make it, but also how to maintain it. It does no good for me to provide for my family if they don't understand how to manage and sustain it
US Bank Shoppers Cash should be on here at at least a B, and possibly A. And I love my WF Autograph, can't believe it's in the C tier
